1. Introduction
The present study is revolving around the development of suitable project plan by
including the appropriate tools and techniques of the project management. For the purpose of
developing the study and collecting all the required information, the organization that has been
selected here is Al Buraimi hospital in the Sultanate of Oman. The company is the best health
care service provider in the Sultanate of Oman. In addition to this, the company has also lead
towards the digitalization across the society, providing the people with new and innovative ways
of performing the business related activities and the company is making all the adequate efforts
for making the entertainment and all the information available at just the fingertips (Moh, 2018).
Furthermore, in the study, the work break down structure also explained that is required for
the completion of project related activities in an appropriate manner along with the estimation of
the required budget for the implementation of the ERP training program especially designed for
the project managers of the company ( Al Buraimi hospital) so that the smooth tendering can be
ensured along with the process of procurement and the other operational functions that are
performed manually. The study also includes the information regarding the risk registers so that
all the risks that may be in the project can be assessed and also the quality plan so that the
adequate quality of project can be maintained.
It is very important to first analyze that the ERP training program is going to online or
offline so that the activities can be designed accordingly.
It is also required that few important information of the project managers that are to be
involved in the ERP training program and these information include; the educational
qualification, details of experience of domain, career goals and so on.
The information is also required to be collected about the domain of the project
managers as for the performance of different activities different forms of ERP are
4
needed. For instance; for the process of procurement, the appropriate ERP is ERP
material management.
Communicating all the required information with the participants of the ERP training
program along with the advantages so that they get motivated and willingly attend the
training program so that the desired result out of the training can be achieved.
It is also required to select the best trainers with high proficiency so that all the required
skills and knowledge can be transferred to the trainees in an appropriate manner.
Along with the educational qualification, it is also important to assess the technical
proficiency of the project managers so that the training program can be designed in the
most suitable manner.
1.1. For the purpose of the ERP training program, from the organization ( Al Buraimi
hospital), the number of project managers that have selected for undergoing the training
program is 15 and the number of trainers that have been hired is 5. It is so because for the
purpose of different needs, different ERP tool is needed and thus, different trainers are
required to be hired. Furthermore, on the basis of the skills, experience, educational
qualification and expertise, the trainees have been divided among different groups.
1.2. The stages that are to be involved in the ERP training program along with the key
variables have been stated below:
Selecting the location for the training program along with the arrangement of all
the resources required
Identifying the trainers and trainees to be involved in the training program
Developing and implementing the training program
Setting the benchmark for analyzing the effectiveness of training program
The budget for the training program is decided
The outcome of the training program is decided

The above diagram is the gnat chart of the project which is useful to complete step by step way.
In the presented gnat chart it is noticed that all the activity which is need to complete in the
project. In order to complete the project it requires 120days to complete and this determine time
is distributed in the each activity which is required to complete in the task
In order to make the assessment of critical path selection of the path take place under which
each project activity will be covered in longest period of path under which all project tasks will
be completed. In this way project manager can manage effective ERP training process for the
Employees of Al Buraimi hospital. Assessment of the critical path for this project are as follows:
5 + 5 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 15 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 54 = 120 days

5. Budget
This is the section where the budgeting has been done for providing ERP training to the
project managers of Al Buraimi hospital so that effectiveness and efficiencies of the activities
can be enhanced. In this below is the estimated cost required for the whole training program.
8
The total cost that has been estimated for conducting the ERP training program for the
project managers is 2100 OMR.
6. Risk Registers
This particular section is for the risk register that is established for identifying all the
potential risks that may be during the course of training program. Along with this, the section
also identifies the appropriate manner in which all the identified risks can be mitigated and the
duration that is required for overcoming the risks and completes the training program within the
decided time period.

7. Quality Plan
The quality is considered as one of the most important factors that can result in the suitable
accomplishment of the demands from the employees and the clients as well. In the present study,
the quality plan has been developed so that the training program can meet with the highest
quality standards and the suitable environment for training can be developed. Furthermore, when
the training is provided by maintaining the utmost quality, the skills and knowledge can be
imparted in an improved manner and the use of ERP for performing the project related activities
can be done by the project managers. Moreover, there are various factors that can lead to the
involvement of appropriate quality in the training program and these are; the trainer needs to be
highly qualified and knowledgeable in not just the skills related to speaking but also needs to be
confident enough, ability of inspiring others need to be there and so on (Kerzner, 2018).
The trainer cannot be considered to be effective if solely the technical knowledge is given
importance. It is also important that the training program is appropriate according to the
identified needs for the training. Furthermore, the quality in the training can also be ensured by
finding the answers to various questions before designing and implementing the training program
10
such as; the results expected out of the training, identification of behavior of trainees required for
achievement of those results and so on (Kulkarni, 2013).In the same manner, the next aspect is
related to the selection of the location for training and it should be that where the effectiveness of
cost can be ensured and appropriate environment of learning can be developed (Gollenia, 2016).
Moreover, the quality in training program is also in terms of the contents that are provided to the
trainees for getting the insights of the topics and engaging them in the training program.

Conclusion
The present study has been developed with the purpose of developing the suitable ERP
training program for the project managers at Al Buraimi hospital in the Sultanate of Oman so
that the various project related activities such as tendering, procurement and so on can be made
efficient. In this regard, in the study, the work break down structure has been developed and
various risks have been identified that can be associated with the training program such as; the
inefficiency of trainers, ineffective communication and so on. The study also includes the
manner in which the risks can be mitigated along with the quality plan.
