Picasso was one of the most outstanding and important artist of the 1900’s.
He is best known for his paintings. Almost every style in modern art is
represented in Picasso’s works Picasso was born in 1881 in Malaga,Spain as the
son of an art teacher. He studied painting with his father and also in madridFrom
about 1895 to 1901 he painted realistic works in a traditional style. Then he
entered what was called the Blue Period. During this time the only used shades
of blue in his paintings to show poverty he saw in Barcelona.
After 1907, he entered intothe style of cubbism. Among his wellknown cubbist
paintings are ‘The Tree Musicians’ and ‘The Man with a Guitar’which depict the
destruction of a spanish town. Picasso died in France in 1973

I think my first memories began when I started school at about five years
old. I lived in a suburb of Sydney. I had a happy childhood. I remember
playing in a big gaden. I fell from a tree and broke my hand. I had to stay
home for two weeks. I had a naughty friend named giant O, because he was fat.
He like hitting and pulling my head. It was so pathetic. One day I hit him over the
head with my bag. His parents were very angry with me. But I didn’t feel sorry at
all at that time. Nevertheles, since the Giant O has become my good friend. It
was such unforgettable childhood.
