(Sciurus  Carolinensis)  

 
Description:  The  squirrel  is  gray  and  is  the  most  common  squirrel.  The  squirrel  tail  has  a  lot  of  fur  
on  it.  The  squirrel  can  be  1.5  pounds  and  16-­‐20  inches.    

Habitat:  Gray  squirrels  are  found  in  the  hardwood  forest  as  well  as  the  suburban  and  urban  areas  

Diet:  The  diet  of  the  gray  squirrels  are  nuts,  berries,  walnuts,  hickory  nuts.  
 Raccoons  
(Procyon  Lotor)  

 
Description:  Adults  raccoons  grow  between  2  and  3  feet  long.  The  raccoons  normally  weigh  10  to  
30  pounds.  

Diet:  Raccoons  eat  berries,  fruits,  grains,  vegetables,  and  they  eat  insects.  

Habitat:  Raccoons  lives  in  trees  and  the  live  other  areas  such  urban  areas  and  suburban  areas  .  You  
may  find  them  in  sewers,  barns,  and  sheds.
