investigated on the factors that affect the reading ability of the pupils

in Grade VI at Dalipay Elementary School,Milaor District.

These made the researchers investigate on what are some of

he factors that affect students reading/abilities/comprehension.This

will help on determining on how to improve reading skills that

would qualify on the students.

This research will conduct a test that aimed to enhance the

reading ability of grade VI learners at Dalipay elementary School,s/y

2018-2019 through Project MRM(Manipulative Reading Materials).

II. ACTION RESEARCH QUESTIONS

This action research initiative aimed of Enhancing the Reading Ability of Grade VI Learners

of Dalipay Elementary in this School School Year 2018-2019 through project Manipulative Reading

Materials (MRM). Specifically, it will seek to answer the following questions:

1. What is the reading performance level of 31 Grade VI learner of Dalipay Elementary School

on pre-assessment result?

2. How is project Manipulative Reading Materials (MRM) effective in enhancing the

reading ability of Grade VI learners?

3. What are the significance effect of project Manipulative Reading Materials (MRM) on the

reading performance level of 31 learners as reflected on the post-assessment results?

EXPECTED OUTPUT:

1. To strengthen the reading ability of Grade VI learner from 61% to 82%.

III. PROPOSED INNOVATION, INTERVENTION, AND STRATEGY

To answer the problems for this research, the following activities will serve as

interventions :

1. Clothespin Reading – Tag story elements such as characters, setting,

problem/solution, and vocabulary with clothspins.

3
2. Window Words – Practice spelling and vocabulary words daily by writing them with

washable markers on a window in your home.
