Summary: Describe the key points of the source, including at least three key quotes.

This article speaks on the process of when one is a toddler and just developing their Personalities.
This process has many outcomes depending on “ongoing interaction of temperament , character,
and environment.” This all starts from when one is a child where “well-nurtured and loved, the infant
develops trust and security and a basic optimism. Badly handled, the infant becomes insecure and
learns basic mistrust.”
There are many different that go from year 1-2 all they way to 14. This is where teens find their
identity. This is where they acquire “self-certainty as opposed to self-doubt and experiments with
different constructive roles rather than adopting a negative identity, such as delinquency.”

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

This article gives me a overall timeline from 1-14. This can help me search what happens exactly at
that time. This is reliable because it uses information from many other trusted authors to make this
article

to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

This will be used to explain the general timeline of personality changes.

Adapted from Purdue OWL
Summary: Describe the key points of the source, including at least three key quotes.

This article introduces a new concept known as “BEATS” this “stands for beliefs, plus the emotions
and action tendencies.” It claims that from when people are infants they ask themself valuable
questions like i”s the world good or bad, safe or dangerous? Can I act on my world to meet my
needs?” These questions form a personality to the world and other people. This also brings in the
concept that some people's personalities are meant to be shown as this was how they were raised.

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

This uses a book “Psychological Review” to make this article so I know its trusted because the book
uses scientific process to make this evaluation.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

I can use BEATS to help me explain how personalities are developed.

Summary: Describe the key points of the source, including at least three key quotes.

This is explaining how “personality changes and adapts throughout our whole life”. This helps my
other other article’s points. This also brings up a few new points like “it be that our environment
constantly changes and adapts us? Or could it be that our genetics influence when and how our
personality changes?” This brings up the argument of nature v.s nurture where the documents you
told me to watch will also help. Also it states “personality are partly based in differences in structure
and systems in the central nervous system such as genetics, hormones, and neurotransmitters” This
would explain how two people from the same place can have a different due to genetics, hormones,
and neurotransmitters.

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

This will help me because It brings up nature v.s nurture and that will be an important part of my
project. This also relates to the documentary of the same subject. This is trustworthy because the
points that the article makes are backed up from multiple sources.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

As I stated I will be using nature v.s nurture and the documentary as a part of my project to describe
how people are raised and how their personalities are affected.

theorized about how personality developed over the course of childhood, but he also developed a
framework for how overall personality is structured. According to Freud, the basic driving force of
personality and behavior is known as the libido. This libidinal energy fuels the three components that
make up personality: the id, the ego, and the superego. Freud's concept of the id, ego and superego
has gained prominence in popular culture.

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

This helps my research because if they're rises how your personality can affect your ego which is a
big part of how you carry yourself. I say this is reliable because Freud was a neurologist so he
studied the brain which also deals in personalities.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

I will use this in my project whenever I need to get a person involved so if I were to use credibility I
will use this information.

Summary: Describe the key points of the source, including at least three key quotes.

this describes how personality is formed it speaks on how your environment changes you, it also
shows is how personality is not just nature nurture but it's both as both do have a effect in your
personality of varying degree.

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

the strange thing about this is that it really didn't give a source for the entire argument but what they
say does coincide with what I've already had such as how nature nurture play a big role in how a
personality is formed.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

This will go with my explanation because I would have to explain how it is developed first and then I
can give information on how to get that personality

offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source

this is credible because it used information from a 92 page study that was made by people that
studied in the field that coincides with personality and how it changes over time.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source

up in my project.

etime-and-usually-for-the-better

Summary: Describe the key points of the source, including at least three key quotes.

Research by Brent Roberts, Joshua Jackson, Wiebke Bleidorn and others highlights the importance

of social roles. When we invest in a role that calls for particular kinds of behavior, such as a job that

calls for being hard-working and responsible, then over time those behaviors tend to become

integrated into our personality.

A 2015 study by Nathan Hudson and Chris Fraley indicates that some people may even be able to

intentionally change their own personality through sustained personal effort and careful

goal-setting. A study of mine published last year, and another by Jule Specht, suggest that positive

personality changes accelerate when people are leading meaningful and satisfying lives.

Assessment: Evaluate how the source responds to your research question. What does this source
offer that other sources do not offer? Is the information reliable? How do you know? Is the source
biased or objective? What is the goal of this source?

This is a credible source because a uses the study done in 2015 by the people mentioned already
right above with that studying and the information that was taken from it it gives this article a
credibility pass.

Reflection: How does this source fit into your research? Was it helpful? If so, how? How does it help
to shape your understanding of the controversy you are researching? How can you use this source
in your project?

This would go great in my research slots evidence and the more studies I can get the better for me
because it just makes my arguments much much more reliable.
