MSA CBRN Canister 10046570

Firefighters do not always need SCBA protection, especially outside the immediate fire
scene. Once the hazard has been assessed, air-purifying respirators (APR) may make
the most sense for low concentrations of certain contaminants. With the new Ultra Elite
CBRN Gas Mask, your department benefits from using a common platform facepiece
for both APR and SCBA applications, allowing standardized training and eliminating
redundant fit-testing.
APR and SCBA facepieces should not be used interchangeably. For that reason, MSA
is introducing the Ultra Elite CBRN Gas Mask for use in the fire service and to first
responders. The facepiece has been trusted in the fire service for more than 10 years.
In that time, the Ultra Elite has been field-proven to provide firefighters with exceptional
fit, comfort, and value.
The MSA CBRN Canister meets or exceeds all performance requirements of the new
NIOSH CBRN Standard by effectively removing harmful gases, vapors, and particulates
so that the user can confidently breathe safely. The canister contains chemical sorbents
and a P100 filter to attract, retain, and neutralize contaminants.

Comparison of Fire Service TIC Performance* Evolution 5200 TIC Performance
High and Low Sensitivity Only MSA delivers High Sense image quality up to 320°F, the range that
