Spider-Man 4: The Audio Drama is a fan made project that aims to continue Sam Rami’s

legendary Spider-Man series and explore scrapped storylines while infusing new ideas from
the fans. Using the script graciously provided by the Fan Scripture discord, the project will be
fully narrated, and voice acted, with visuals edits akin to storyboards to better tell the story.
An audio drama, but with visual guides too!
Spider-Man 4 takes place a few years after the events of Spider-Man 3, with Peter and Mary
Jane enjoying a new phase in their relationship. However, the growing increase of super-
powered criminals since Spider-Man’s emergence has created a sense of inadequacy in the
police force, allowed organised crime to rise in the shadows, and led to some questioning if
the existence of Spider-Man is doing more harm than good…

This audition slate will be of the entire main cast and minor characters, some others may be
included in a future time. Full instructions of how to submit auditions can be found at the
end of this document.

IMPORTANT: Please only audition if you can commit to a long-term production. Recording
shall be undertaken at your own time or via online direction over either Discord or Skype.
ALL MAJOR CHARACTERS will have to have a range of emotion, which can include
shouting. Please confirm in your email that you can perform this task.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Smart, quick-witted, naive.

Peter Parker is, well, Spider-Man! He’s matured somewhat from his previous experiences
and is closer to his comic counterpart in personality. Think the first Peter from Into the
Spider-Verse! He is the main character of the story.
Note: Expect a LOT of lines!
1 – [bright, casual] “It's me. Peter Parker. The one and only Spider-Man. But today,
Spider-Man isn’t really the focus.”
2 - [assured, cocky] “I mean, Stilt-Man? Really, they have a ‘-Man‘ for everything these
days.”
3 – [annoyed, angry] “Cat, STOP! I told you to interrogate him, not scar him! Are you
crazy?”
4 – [explaining, scientific] “The Vulture Project allows for police officers to be agile,
flexible, and efficient. The metal plating is resilient to the current weaponry criminals
possess and is capable of sustaining functionality under extreme conditions. The suit,
despite this casing, is as I said before extremely flexible, allowing for 360 degrees of
movement.”
Mary Jane Watson
Passionate, determined, insecure.
Mary Jane is a struggling actress and singer trying to balance her own life with the trouble of
being in love with a superhero.
Note: Expect a LOT of lines!
1 – [supportive, playful] “Go get em tiger.”
2 - [angry] “Buzz off!”
3 – [melancholy, strong] “Harry's death has been hard for the both of us. But we will get
through this.”
4 – [happy] “This is so...wow. I don't...even know what to say! Thank you so much!”
Vulture/Adrian Toomes
Intelligent, bitter, emotional
Adrian Toomes is an established scientist working for Oscorp, who takes a liking to Peter
and aims to help him flourish his scientific potential. He despises Spider-Man, blaming him
for the increase in super powered crime and complacent civilians.
Note: Expect a LOT of lines!
1 – [impatient] “Yes, of course you're getting paid. Do it.”
2 - [Agitated] “Things were far better before he appeared! It used to be just the occasional
carjacking or store robbery... now we've got all these costumed FREAKS!”
3 – [Coy, dry humour] “Well, this suit is partially based on some research by Doctor Otto
Octavius... you know, before he went crazy.”
4 – [happy] “Dr. Adrian Toomes. It's a pleasure to finally meet you.”
Black Cat/Felicia Hardy
Seductive, cautious, neutral
Felica Hardy is a thief known as the Black Cat. She takes a personal interest in Spider-Man
and works with him to fight the growing crisis in the city, however her true motives remain
unknown…
Note: Expect a LOT of lines!

1 – [playful] “Are you...flexible in other ways?”

2 - [bored, sarcastic] “Nice weather we're having.”

3 – [annoyed] “You know, Spider, you're a nice guy and all, but you're also a terrible liar.”
4 – [sinister] “Listen, you better give me a name before I scratch you somewhere else.”
Wilson Fisk
Charismatic, powerful, controlling
Wilson Fisk is a heroic and charming businessman currently running for Mayor. He has
connections throughout the city, not all of them…legal. (Gee ya think?!)

1 – [polite, respectful] “ I won't take up much of your time, as you and I are both very
busy men, but I want to talk.”
2 - [speech, wit] “This may seem rather... random... but, I was sitting in my living room
a few days ago, watching the news. I caught sight of our... friendly neighbourhood Spider-
Man. He was fighting a man who... seemed to be wearing a fish bowl for a helmet. Does
anyone else recall that?”
3 – [mocking] “The bug returns at last...I must say, you're much taller in person.”
Miles Warren
Twitchy, awkward, depressed
Miles Warren is Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy’s new teacher. Peter notices something off
about him, especially his interest in the young miss Stacy.

1 – [almost monotone] “ Good morning class. My name is Professor Miles Warren.

That's W A R R E N. Warren.”
2 – [ happy, cold] “Bravo! Excellent answer Ms. Stacy, excellent! Oh, and...erm, you
too Mr. Parker.”

\
Bolivar Trask

Confident, petty, hates mutants probably.

Bolivar Trask is the man left in charge of Oscorp after the death of Norman and Harry,
aiming to turn the business around and distance itself from the bad press associated with
the name.

1 – [Joking, confident] “Adrian. Let's not scare off the new intern on his first day, alright?”
2 - [angry, frustrated] “And put the damn bird away! For Christ's sake.”
Curt Connors
Smart, frustrated, kind.

Curt Connors is Peter’s former teacher and friend, although quick to question the former
students sense of responsibility. He is awfully happy to begin his new project…

1 – [Supportive, happy] “ Warren is a friend of mine. I'll put in a good word for you two.”
2 - [Excited] “That's right, I'm moving to Florida, The Everglades. There's a wonderful
genetics lab down there which made a tender offer I can't ignore.”
J Jonah Jameson
Loud, proud, impulsive.

J Jonah Jameson is the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle and one of the only members of the
press who knows some of the truth behind Wilson Fisk.

1– [annoyed, frustrated] ...No! No! I told you once, I told you twice, I told you at least five
times yesterday what I wanted! Now, I don't care if you have to cut off his hands and make
it happen yourself, but do it”
2- [Calm, slight kindness] “Yes, Miss Brant. But thank you for your concern.”
3- [Serious, quiet rage, for context Fisk has just called Jonah] “What do you want.”
Ursula Ditkovich
Quiet, gentle, kind.

Ursula is the supportive daughter of Peter’s landlord.

1– [Supportive, happy]. “I'm glad. Pete's a real great guy, isn't he?”
2- [Excited] “Oh, uh, hey!”
Betty Brant
Patient, professional, kind

Betty Brant is Jameson’s secretary and looks out for Peter and the rest of the staff by
managing Jonah’s temper.

1– [Assertive, professional] “Daily Bugle. Betty Brant speaking.”

2- [Concerned] “I called Peter for pictures, but he hasn’t returned his calls. Maybe
something came up or?”
Gwen Stacy
Smart, kind, bubbly.

Gwen Stacy is a friend from Peter’s class and is about to start under her new teacher Miles
Warren

1– [Eloquent, confident] “Yes Professor, Dolly the Sheep was the first mammal cloned from
somatic cells, using the process of nuclear transfer.”
2- [Excited] “I'm so excited to move on to Professor Warren’s class! Aren’t you Peter?”
Robbie Robertson
.

Strong, kind, tired

Robbie is an editor at the Daily Bugle and close friend to Jonah, one of the only people in the
world who can calm ol’ flattop down to see reason.

1– [Assertive, understanding] “Calm down Jonah! Peter has been with us for six years, I'm
sure he'll get shots in on time.”
2- [Excited] “It's your lucky day, Jonah! Here's the man of the hour as we speak.”
Jean DeWolfe
Gruff, bitter, proud.

Proud, frustrated and strong

Jean DeWolfe is the police commissioner and a strong advocate against Spider-Man

1– [Sarcastic, frustrated] “Okay, so if we could get this little presentation done and over
with soon, that would be wonderful. I don't know if you boys are aware, but this city is
tearing itself apart out there, and I've got little time to spare for such cheap gimmicks.”
2- [Bitter] “Eh. Guys like that are a dime a dozen. Just want to 'help the city' for their own
selfish desire for fame.”
Hammerhead
Tough, mean and proud
Hammerhead is a mafia boss who wishes to return things back to the good old days. By any
means necessary.

1– [Gruff, threatening] “Naa, I ain't gonna do it. What'cha gonna do 'bout it anyways?
Scream?”
2- [Commanding]. “Alright men let's go NOW! We've made our statement.
Hoffman
Meek, enthusiastic, cheerful

Hoffman works at the Daily Bugle and seems to be the key source of Jameson’s anger issue.

1– [Supportive, happy] “Mr Jameson, I think that's a genius idea.”

2- [Nervous, panicking] “They're just a little rougher around the edges now, y'know! But
they'll still work.”
The Rhino
Big, dumb, angry.
Aleksei Sytsevich was just another thug in the Russian Mafia, grasping at dreams of easy money, and
headed for a short brutal life. Seduced by promises of wealth and power, Aleksei underwent a life-
threatening series of chemical and radiation treatments throughout several months to transform
him into an agent with superhuman strength and Armor permanently bonded to his skin.

1– [Angry, charging] “You think you're pretty tough for a scrawny little guy, don't ya bug!?
I'M GONNA BREAK YOUR BONES AND MAKE YOU CRY FOR YOUR MAMA!”
2- [Frustrated, beaten] “Agh! Get me outta here!”
Mysterio
Overdramatic, condescending, petty.

Quentin Beck was one of the most accomplished special effects designers in the industry,
but due to lack of recognition, he wanted to become an actor. However, he lacked the looks
and talent to be a star and the patience to be a director and saw his career in special-effects
to be a dead-end job. When a friend of his jokingly suggested that the quickest way to
become famous was to take out a costumed hero, Beck realized that his expertise in
illusions could make him an effective super-villain.…

1 – [Mocking] “Ahahahahahaaaaa! Can you halt me, Spider-Human?

2 - [Confident, dramatic] “Citizens of Earth! I, Mysterio, Sorcerer Supreme, announce my
conquest of your world! Tremble in terror and submit yourself to my reign!”
The Shocker
Paranoid, unconfident, mean
After one robbery gone wrong, Herman Shultz was arrested, but was sent to the prison workshop,
where he used the resources around him to project and build gauntlets that sent out shock waves
which quickly opened safes as well, giving himself a one-up on the authorities

1 – [Frustrated] “I’m trying to make death easy on ya, insect! Hold still!”
2 - [Beaten, angry] “Uuurgh! Why you- Let me down so I can exterminate ya!.”
The Prowler
Sly, cocky and hardened
Aaron Davis was a burglar and career criminal. His brother used to be his partner in crime.
Whereas his brother reformed when he became a father, Aaron continued his criminal
activities as the Prowler and became estranged from his brother

1 – [Sarcastic, eager] “Shouldn't you be crawling a wall, man? If you let me off the
hook, I’ll give you 20%”
2 - [Excited] “And I thought this was gonna be a challenge!”
Mr Ditkovich
Greedy, odd, honest.

Mr Ditkovich is Peter’s stingy landlord who has begun to take a liking to the boy, even if he
still won’t fix his door.

1– [Happy, greeting] “ Ahh, Mr Peter... and now a Mrs. Peter! Nice to have you here,
Mary Joan. Double the tenant, double the rent, yes?
2- [Scared, but brave despite a threat.] “I can't...give you...what you want.”
Stilt Man
Dumb, confident, and brave enough to call himself Stilt Man.
Wilbur Day was a scientist who was employed by Carl Kaxton, who invented a hydraulic ram device.
Wilbur stole Kaxton's designs and used them to engineer a pair of extremely long, telescopic metal
legs, which allowed him to tower high over the ground.

1– [Earnest, confident] “When I'm done with this joint, the entire city will fear the
name Stilt-Man!”
2- [Beaten, but still confident] “When I get out of these webs...I'm gonna squash you
like the insect you are!”
Fredrick Foswell
Grizzled, meek, unhappy
Frederick Foswell is a reporter that works for the Daily Bugle. He makes a living but is unhappy with
his current life as it is.

1– [Tough, blunt.] “Alright Parker, here’s the deal, Jameson put me in charge of you. So
if you screw up, that means I screwed up, so just relax and snap some pics and keep
your mouth shut, okay?”
2- [Excited] “You got it, boss-man!”
Vanessa Fisk
Proud, loyal and strong
Vanessa Marianna is an art dealer who became Wilson Fisk's wife.

1– [Greeting, happy] “Good evening everyone! Welcome to our first fundraising event
of the campaign!”
2- [Proud, speech]“For decades, the Fisk family has been a leader in the community of
New York: promoting peace, wellbeing, as well as lobbying for pro-working class
legislation to end the cycle of poverty.”
Flash Thompson
Apologetic, tough, earnest.
Flash was Peter’s high school bully, but after following his hero Spider-Man and joining the
armed forces, he has matured and seeks to make up for his past mistakes.

1 – [Explaining, happy]. “I'm the PE teacher for my old elementary school now, and
I'll be shipped out to Afghanistan on active duty real soon.”
2 - [Regretful] “I...I was full of it back then. I've...wanted to tell you that for years
now but...well, I'm not like that anymore, Peter. I'm not.”
