Although a landlocked state, the location
has made Belarus an important trade
and transport route between Europe and

About the Programme

MD (Doctor of Medicine) is the name of the
degree awarded by the Minsk and the
Gomel State Medical Universities. The
degree is duly approved and accepted by

Accommodation
Students are provided accommodation
in the universities’ own hostels. A dwelling
block in hostel usually consists of double
occupancy rooms, a kitchenette, a
bathroom and WC. Alternatively,
students who can afford may request for
apartments. Separate accommodation

Living Conditions
Living Conditions in the hostel are of
normal standards with central heating,
hot water systems, gas, electricity and
uninterrupted water supply. While the
students can have meals in the canteen Library
or café during sessions they are free to
cook their meals individually or
collectively in their hostel itself.

Cost
The total cost (tuition plus accommodation)
will be less than SLRs 5.6 Million which
could be paid in monthly or yearly

Belarusian State Medical University is a leading higher

medical education provider in the Republic of Belarus.
Established in 1930 styled as Minsk State Medical
Institute, it was renamed as “Belarusian State Medical
University” on the 28th of June, 2001.

3 corresponding-members of the National Academy of
Sciences of the Republic of Belarus; 12 prize winners
of the State Prizes of the USSR, BSSR and Republic of
Belarus; 12 Honored Scientists of the BSSR and
Republic of Belarus; 3 Honored Doctors of the BSSR
and Republic of Belarus; 1 Honored Worker of Education
of the Republic of Belarus and 1 Honored Worker of
Health Care of the Republic of Belarus Over 350 workers
of clinical chairs have the highest medical category.
