NARRATOR : Let us tell an old story anew. Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there
lived a young girl named Cinderella. Cinderella was kind, generous and beautiful, she
would do anything for anyone and had a heart of gold. she saw the world not always as it
was,but as perhaps it could be, with just a little bit of magic. Have courage and be kind.
However, she lived with her evil stepmother and her two wicked sisters Leena and Viola.
They were very cruel to Cinderella and use her as their servant, ordering her to do all the
choirs and house work. She was forced to sleep in the cellar and every night she would lie
there and wish for her dreams to come true. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
Welcome to the magical tale of Cinderella.

NARRATOR : You have more kindness in your little finger than most people possess in their
whole body.And it has power, more than you know.Have courage and be kind, my
darling.

SCENE 1: Poor Cinderella – Room

CINDERELLA : Oh what a lovely morning, as lovely as my dream.

MAIN MICE : Goodmorning Cinderelly! How was your sleep?

CINDERELLA : I had a dream, I was in the-

MAIN MICE: Stop it Cinderelly. If you tell your dream, it would not come true. After all…

A dream is a wish your heart makes

When you're fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday

CINDERALLA: All right mice, I need to get up now.See you around!

SCENE 2: GREAT NEWS: The Kitchen

(CINDERELLA begins to dust of the furniture.)

(Enters Buttons, carrying a tray and three large envelopes.)

BUTTONS: Good morning Cinderella. House work again?

CINDERELLA : Yes, Buttons. House work again!

MAIN MICE: YES! Cinderella does all the house work! Like…

SKWEEK : Making the bed!

TIPTOE : Watering the plants!

LONGTAIL : Folding the clothes!

WETNOSE: Setting the tables!

SNITCH : Clearing the table!

CINDERELLA : AND, sweeping the floor!

BUTTONS : I’ve got something. A surprise!!! (He hands her an envelope.)

BUTTONS : The prince is holding a party! He will choose a wife.

CINDERELLA : What? Can I go?

BUTTONS : Yes, ofcouse! You are invited!

CINDERELLA : I can’t believe it

(Off stage, LEENA and VIOLA shout for CINDERELLA.)

CINDERELLA : Oh no! My sisters…

BUTTONS : Your STEP-sisters.

CINDERELLA: Well, yes… Thank you Buttons.

(LEENA and VIOLA enters)

VIOLA: Oh my gosh! There’s a mouse in our room.

LEENA: Cinderella! Cinderella! Go get it.

SCENE 3: THE STEPMOTHER – The Kitchen

STEPMOTHER : Girls, what’s with all the noise?

LEENA: Mother! Cinderella is not doing her job. We saw a mouse in the room. It scared us.

VIOLA : Mother, I almost died in fear. And it’s all because of Cinderella.

(STEPMOTHER starts to get angry.)

STEPMOTHER : CIN---DE---RE---LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

(Suddenly , Cinderella comes out.)

STEPMOTHER: Ah…You scared me. How dare you?

CINDERELLA : Ohh I’m sorry Mother.

STEPMOTHER : Hold your tongue. Now,it seems like you’re not doing your job?

CINDERELLA: I was just…

STEPMOTHER: Silence! There’s no time for vicious practical jokes. Perhaps we can put it
to better use. Now, let me see...There's the large carpet in the main hall. Clean it! And the
windows, upstairs. Wash them!

CINDERELLA: But I just finished…

STEPMOTHER: Do them again! And don't forget the garden.

VIOLA: WAIT… What are you holding behind your back?

CINDERELLA: Nothing…

STEPMOTHER: Have you stolen anything? Come on, hand it over!

CINDERELLA: It’s just an invitation to the party.

LEENA: What? I can’t believe it!

STEP MOTHER: Hand it over!

(VIOLA snatches it.)

STEPMOTHER: I'll read it. Well, there's to be a ball.

STEP SISTERS: A ball???

STEPMOTHER: In honour of His Highness, the Prince.

VIOLA : Oh, the Prince!

STEP MOTHER: And, by royal command,every eligible maiden is to attend.

LEENA:- that's us!

VIOLA :- And I'm so eligible.

CINDERELLA :That means I can go, too.

VIOLA: Her, dancing with the Prince. (Laughing)I'd be honoured, Your Highness.Would you
mind holding my broom?

LEENA: You wish! You’ll stay here.

(LEENA AND VIOLA are laughing together.)

STEPMOTHER: Destroy it!

VIOLA: Yes, dear mother!

CINDERELLA: No. It’s mine!

VIOLA: WAS yours, you mean.

CINDERELLA: Viola… That’s bad!!!

LEENA: Oh.. really? But I think Viola did a great job.

VIOLA: Poor Cinderella, you don’t belong to that place.

(They exit)

TIPTOE: Terrible. Anyone got a tissue?

MAIN MICE: Don’t be upset, Cinderelly. We’re here with you…

CINDERELLA (SOBS) : Oh, no. It is my dream to go to a ball. Why are they so mean.

CINDERELLA: There's nothing left to believe in.

SCENE 4: The Transformation

(There is a rumble of thunder. Fairy GODMOTHER enters.)

GODMOTHER: Oh, come now. Dry those tears. You can't go to the ball looking like that.

CINDERELLA: I can’t go. I don’t have a dress, my sisters left me.

GODMOTHER: Nonsense, child! If you'd lost all your faith, I couldn't be here.

(Cinderella was shock when she saw Fairy godmother near her)

CINDERELLA: Then you must be…

GODMOTHER: Your fairy godmother? Ofcourse. I’ve come to grant you a wish!

CINDERELA: A wish???

GODMOTHER: A WISH!!!! Come on make a wish!

CINDERELLA: Well… I want to go to the party!

GODMOTHER: You shall go to the party indeed. Now gather me a pumpkin and that little mice
over there.

CINDERELLA: But why?

GODMOTHER: Just follow what I said. And also remember, you can only stay there until 12
midnight.

(CINDERELLA gathers all the request of the fairy)

GODMOTHER: Now the magic words.-Sala-gadoola-menchika-boo-laBibbidi-bobbidi-boo-

(CINDERELLA is undergoing a transformation)

SCENE 5: HAVING A PARTY – The Palace Ballroom

MAIN MOUSE: Now, we’re in the Prince’s Party!

NARRATOR: (Announcing) Lady Leena and Lady Viola!

(Enter LEENA and VIOLA)

LEENA: Am I pretty?

VIOLA: OFCOURSE, you are!!!

LEENA: OH!! The Prince!!! Look! Prince Charming

VIOLA: I’ll have the first dance!

LEENA: Let’s see. I know the prince will choose me.

NARRATOR: Princess Crystal from the Treasure Island!

(Enter Cinderella)

PRINCE: Oh! She’s beautiful!

GARY: Well, sir, ask her to dance.

PRINCE: I will. Er – excuse me, Your Highness. May I?

CINDERELLA: Ofcourse.

(Everyone begins to dance)

PRINCE: It’s very nice to meet you.

(The bell is ringing)

CINDERELLA: Its midnight.

PRINCE: Yes, so it is. But why...

CINDERELLA: Goodbye.

PRINCE: No, no, wait.- You can't go now. It's only

CINDERELLA:- Oh, I must. Please.- Please, I must.

(CINDERELLA exits.)

GARY: Too late, sir.

TERRY: BUT, she left this!

PRINCE: A shoe! Right! We need to find the owner of this shoe. Try this on every maid in my
kingdom. And if the shoe fits, bring her to me.

SCENE 6: THE SHOE FITS

(In the living room)

STEPMOTHER: Cinderella? Cinderella?- Cinderella! Where is that...
CINDERELLA: Yes! Here I am.
STEPMOTHER: My daughters, where are they?
CINDERELLA: I think they're still in bed.
STEPMOTHER: Don't just stand there! Bring up the breakfast trays at once. And hurry!
STEPMOTHER: LEENA! VIOLA! Go out from your room.
LEENA: What for mother ? Why?
STEPMOTHER: Everyone’s talking about it.- Hurry now. He'll be here any minute.
VIOLA: Who will?
STEPMOTHER: The Grand Duke. He’s been hunting all night.
LEENA: Hunting?
STEPMOTHER: For that girl. The one who lost her slipper at the ball last night. They say he's
madly in love with her.

(Enter PRINCE, GARY & TERRY with the shoe on a cushion.)

GARY: We are here to find a very precious girl.

PRINCE: Let’s be quick! Who’s first?
SISTERS: ME! MEE!!
STEPMOTHER: Manners ladies! A thousand pardons, Your Grace. Please continue.
PRINCE: OK! Alphabetical order.
LEENA: HAH! Me, first!
(She snatched it and tries it on without success.)
PRINCE: Sorry my lady, next!
VIOLA: It’s my turn.
(She tries on the shoe. She hobbles around with it on her toe.)
VIOLA: They are perfect!
PRINCE: It is too small. Nobody else?
SISTERS: There's no one else, Your Grace.
GARY: All right then, thank you ladies. We shall go.
(Cinderella starts to sing)
Lavender's blue,
Dilly dilly,
Lavenders green.

When I am King,
Dilly dilly,
You shall be Queen.
PRINCE: Do you hear that?
(Prince goes back to the house)
PRINCE: Where is that girl?
STEPMOTHER: Pardon your highness but there’s no other-
