Lesson delivery
3. Have students open their books page 98. Direct students’ attention to the vocabulary section .
ACTIVITIES
4. Play the CD a few times and have students point to the words and repeat . ( Track 55 )
5. Say the words again in random order and have students repeat and point.
6. Direct students’ attention to the third picture, point to the whale and ask students about it. Encourage students to
answer it .
7. Have students look at the presentation and ask them if they recognize any of the planets.
8. Read the title and ask students to guess what the text is going to be about.
9. Play the CD and have students follow along in their books.
10. Ask students to listen carefully .

11. Revise the vocabulary and structures learnt in the previous lesson by playing a few rounds of the game Hot card

6. Play the CD and have students chorally repeat the exchange . Have individual students model the exchange.
7. Divide students into pairs . Students take turns asking and answering questions about the solar system.
8. Have a few pairs of students ask and answer in front of the class .

4. Explain to them that they have to copy the instruction on how to make a solar system into their exercise books.

1. Revise the name of the eight planets in our solar system by playing a round of the game Say the final word .
( TB page 64 )
Lesson delivery
2. Direct students’ attention to the pictures on the page and ask them what the children are doing.
3.Point to the picture and ask them questions.
4.Make sure students understand that they are going to make their own solar system mobile in groups.
ACTIVITIES 5.Divide students into groups.
6.Hand out the materials needed to make the project to students.
7.Go around helping students with any difficulties .
Post-lesson
8. Direct students’ attention to the picture in activity 2. Ask students what is happening.
9. Read the sentences out loud and invite students to repeat.
10.Have each group present and talk about their solar system mobile to the class.

Activity 1 ( Track 61 )
3. Direct students’ attention to the animals and ask them to identify them .
4. Explain to students that they will listen to four descriptionsof the animals and that they will have to write the numbers
1-4 in the correct boxes according to the animal being described.
5. Play the CD, pausing after each description so that students have enought time to write the numbers.
6. Play the CD again so that students may check their answers.
7. Check students’ answers as a class.

8. Direct students’ attention to the pictures in the activity and explain that they will have to look at the pictures and
write the adjective in the brackets in either the comparative or superlative form.
9. Have students check their answers in pairs first ,then check as a class.
Activity 3
10. Direct students’ attention to the pictures of the planets and encourage them to tell teacher what they know about
eah of them.
11. Explain to the students that they will have to read the sentences and match the pictures of the planets to the
sentences that apply for each one by writing the correct letter in the correcponding box.
12. Have students check their answers in pairs first , then check as a class .
