Pre-lesson
1. Ask two students to come up to the front of the class.
2. Ask one student to stand still and the other student to walk around him . Point to the student walking around and say
around. Repeat the word and encourage students to repeat after teacher .
3. Next, have students at the front of the class stand next to each other. Point to them and say close . Repeat the word
and encourage students to repeat after teacher.
4. Tell the students standing to walk far away from each other and stand far away from each other. Point to them and
say far. Repeat the word and encourage students to repeat after teacher.
5. Hold up the flashcard of planet and say the word encouraging students to repeat after teacher .

Lesson delivery
3. Have students open their books page 98. Direct students’ attention to the vocabulary section .
ACTIVITIES
4. Play the CD a few times and have students point to the words and repeat . ( Track 55 )
5. Say the words again in random order and have students repeat and point.
6. Direct students’ attention to the third picture, point to the whale and ask students about it. Encourage students to
answer it .
7. Have students look at the presentation and ask them if they recognize any of the planets.
8. Read the title and ask students to guess what the text is going to be about.
9. Play the CD and have students follow along in their books.
10. Ask students to listen carefully .

Post-lesson
11. Revise the vocabulary and structures learnt in the previous lesson by playing a few rounds of the game Hot card
( Tb page 115 )

4. Explain to them that they have to copy the instruction on how to make a solar system into their exercise books.

6. Go around the class and check students’ works.

3. Direct students’ attention to the animals and ask them to identify them .
4. Explain to students that they will listen to four descriptionsof the animals and that they will have to write the numbers
1-4 in the correct boxes according to the animal being described.
5. Play the CD, pausing after each description so that students have enought time to write the numbers.
6. Play the CD again so that students may check their answers.
7. Check students’ answers as a class.
ACTIVITIES

8. Direct students’ attention to the pictures in the activity and explain that they will have to look at the pictures and
write the adjective in the brackets in either the comparative or superlative form.
9. Have students check their answers in pairs first ,then check as a class.

10. Direct students’ attention to the pictures of the planets and encourage them to tell teacher what they know about
eah of them.
11. Explain to the students that they will have to read the sentences and match the pictures of the planets to the
sentences that apply for each one by writing the correct letter in the correcponding box.
12. Have students check their answers in pairs first , then check as a class .
