Pressure And Flow Compensator Valve

SMCS - 3285-010; 3285-017

Remove And Install Pressure And Flow Compensator Valve

1. Remove the floor plates.

2. Disconnect hose assembly (2) from pressure and flow compensator valve (1).

3. Remove four bolts (3), and remove pressure and flow compensator valve (1) from the steering
and implement pump.

NOTE: The flowing steps are for installation of the pressure and flow compensator valve.

4. Position pressure and flow compensator valve (1) on the steering and implement pump, and
install four bolts (3).

5. Connect hose assembly (2) to the pressure and flow compensator valve.

6. Install the floor plates.

Compensator Valve
Start By:

a. remove pressure and flow compensator valve

(3) Hex Headed Plug (4) Belville Spring (5) Cap (6) Set screw (7) Lock Nut (8) Spring (9) Spring retainer (10) Spring
Retainer (11) Round Headed Plug (12) Spool (13) Piston (14) Cap (15) Setscrew (16) Lock Nut (17) Spring Retainer (18)
Outer Spring (19) Inner Spring (20)

1. Remove the four O-ring seals (1) from the valve body. Remove the three plugs (2) from the valve
body.

2. Remove hex headed cap (3), seal and Belville springs (4).

3. Remove cap (5) with set screw (6) and lock nut (7). Remove seal, spring (8) and spring retainers
(9) and (10).

4. On the other side of the valve body, remove round headed cap (11), seal and spool (12).
Remove piston (13) from spool (12).

5. Remove cap (14) with set screw (15) and lock nut (16). Remove seal, spring retainer (17), outer
spring (18) and inner spring (19) and spool (20).

NOTE: The following steps are for assembly of the pressure and flow compensation valve.

6. Install spool (20), inner and outer spring (19) and (18), spring retainer (17) and assembled cap
(14) with the seal.

7. Install spool (12) with piston (13) in place. Install round headed plug (11) with seal.

8. Install spring (8) with retainers (9) and (10) in place. Install assembled cap (5) with seal.

9. Install two belville springs (4) to get the maximum spring effect, (do not cup together). Install hex
headed cap (3) with seal.

10. Install three plugs (2). Install the four mounting O-ring (1).

End By:

a. install pressure and flow compensation valve
