LOS ANGELES – Meg Whitman joined nearly 800 Jewish voters on Sunday for a dialogue about
how she’ll tackle California’s challenges as Governor.

California’s candidates for Governor and for the U.S. Senate were invited to speak by the leaders at
the Stephen S. Wise Synagogue in Los Angeles, one of the nation’s largest Jewish congregations.
Meg was the first to accept the invitation because she’s been working hard to tap into the diverse
fabric of California, and engage voters from all corners of the state in her campaign.

In a town hall moderated by former White House advisor Dan Senor, Meg took questions from the
audience on a range of topics including the budget, job creation and delivering results in
Sacramento.

“I think Meg’s message to the Jewish community is resonating because they look at the jobs, they
look at the economy, they look at business and they say, ‘This isn’t working -- we need someone to
fix this,’” said Saul Gershkowitz of Tarzana. “There’s a lot of passion for Meg because these are
very scary times and people don’t like the politics of old -- they want the politics of new. They want
somebody who’s going to get the job done.”

Meg recently launched the Jewish Community for Meg Coalition because she believes her priorities
for California are the Jewish community’s priorities: restoring the state’s economic health by
creating jobs, making government more accountable and more efficient, and fixing the state’s
public education system.

California’s Jewish population is the third-largest in the world, only behind Israel and New York.
Most recent figures put California’s Jewish population at more than one million.

And although members of the Jewish community are historically Democrat-leaning – especially in
California -- Meg’s not giving up on their votes. And Jewish voters Sunday night said Meg has what
it takes to bridge the gap and appeal to Jewish voters across the political spectrum.

“I think more and more Jews are getting behind Meg because I think this election isn’t about
Democrat or Republican. In California we are failing economically, we are failing educationally and
we need somebody who’s going to come in and fix that,” Gershkowitz added. “Whether you’re a
Democrat or Republican, Jew or not Jew, you have to get excited about Meg because her ideas are
going to fix this.”

Meg also told the crowd that she believes we must invest more in Israel, and California must
continue to forge business relationships with the country, which has a strong innovation hub. Meg
spoke from experience – as eBay’s CEO, she sought out technology leaders, including Israel’s
Shopping.com and FraudSciences, which she brought into the eBay fold.

Teri Bialosky of Studio City added: “Meg speaks to the common sense in the voter and she
understands the issues so well. I 100-percent believe that if anybody can do it, Meg can. She
makes you forget about the partisanship of the race. It’s about her ideas.”
