Dear Ms. Eng,
I, and the rest of the SEPRD Board would like to express our appreciation for your
speaking during the Public Comment section of our last meeting. We can
appreciate how difficult this must have been.

I listened carefully to every word, the same way I have read every letter you
have sent us regarding this incident. The Board and I understand that your
intention is to protect others in the community, and we appreciate your efforts.
The health and well-being of this community is also our number one priority.

The Board and I want to assure you that we take all reports of harassment of any
kind very seriously. We do background checks on everyone in our employ and
we have employment policies in place that clearly address consequences for
such behaviors. We will continue to closely monitor this situation and the
investigation process that is ongoing.

Again, we appreciate your attentiveness to this matter and you making sure the
Board is aware of this case.
