PARISH HELPERS We are graced to enjoy a beautiful and thriving parish at St Mary’s in
Rothwell. All goes well but it does so because of the many hands who give of themselves selfishly
in so many ways. We would like to invite many more parishioners to perhaps consider getting
involved with either the parish council or parish social committee. Neither of these present an
onerous challenge, meeting as they do 3 to 4 times per year. Please contribute to your parish. Fr È.

Our experience of feeling powerless, wounded or broken is part of what

it means to be human. Often it is our wounds that lead us into the deeper
places of interchange. We go through our wounds to the places of
purification and repentance, where we are opened to the way of recovery
and greater wholeness.

Pain is life, the sharper the pain the more evidence of life.
