“The Current Economic Struggles of the Philippine Government”

The Philippine Economy is now at its lowest point in history. Dollar-to-Peso exchange has been
high in a couple of months now and it may bring advantages to OFW’s but in our economy, it does not look great.
Product prices have also risen and many people are struggling to buy their everyday needs. Our economy struggles to
cope up with other countries and if this keep going it will increase our cost of living. The increased price of oil, which
we certainly need daily for machineries, cars and electricity generation, was caused by increased global demand and
shortage of supply.

It’s not only the market’s fault why we are facing this problem today, it is ours also. Overpopulation
is a big topic to discuss in which many politicians strive hard to implement a bill to regulate reproductive health bill.
As Filipinos we should take care of ourselves and our life, and reproductive health is a concern that may bring change
in our life, because controlling our population may decrease demand and increase supply, thus making product prices
lower.

Corruption is also one of the causes why our economy is at its lowest point. Some politicians don’t
mind the sake of their people who are starving and working to death just to provide the needs of their families and
themselves. Corruption is the most possible thing people may consider of why our economy is not improving. Corrupt
politicians try to steal money from the people who properly pay their taxes and who worked hard for that money
because they don’t really care about what is going on to their country.

Calamities are the big thing in economies because it destroys the things we need to live. Calamities
are the certain reason why our economy is failing, because it destroys all things we could sell to the global market like
fisheries, crops, plants and more agricultural exports. In our country, many typhoons come-and-go leaving a big
disaster not just in our environment and our place but also financially, may be physically and of course mentally and
because of these our economy drops more and more.

Solving all these problems can be a lot harder to do than thought but being a good individual in this
country may help our economy and of course our country to solve each one of these to make our situation a little bit
better because change starts with yourself and this change may help the citizens of this country and may change the
world we live in.
