Sub: - Application for Re-allotment of departmental quarter in LA Block housing complex.

I, Souvik Das, Emp. No. 1989101202 presently attached with Planning, Investigation & Design
Department (PIDD), WBSEDCL in a capacity of Assistant Engineer (Civil) is staying in quarter no. B-1/4, LA
Block, Salt Lake sec-III, Kol-98 allotted to me vides Office Order no. 640 dated 19.10.2012 (enclosed
herewith). My parents are also staying with me. The quarter is situated in the ground floor of the said B1
block.

It is been a long time since I am struggling with various problems in this quarter. Being this
quarter is in ground floor, it gets easy access to various harmful insects/reptiles even sometimes snakes
found inside the room if the quarter kept vacant for 4-5 days.

Besides that, the drainage outlets of the quarter get chocked very often and the sludge flows
backward inside the room which creates very unhygienic living condition. It has also severe damping
effects in its floor as well as walls.

My father recently diagnosed with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and was
admitted in AMRI hospital, Salt Lake. He has to visit in a regular manner to the Doctor for his periodical
check-up. Being a COPD patient, it is difficult to stay in such damp and soggy condition.

Therefore, my humble request to you to consider the above difficulties and please re-allot a
suitable quarter for me as early as possible.
