The world is so tiny that we often find out we know the same person or we are from the same place,
yet it is so big to be explored. Since I was a young, I have been dreaming of travelling to and living in
different places. When I know the Universidad ORT Uruguay which I am currently studying at offers
its students the opportunity to study abroad for a semester, I take the chance with full of excitement.

There is a lot of institutes all over the world, and it is not an easy task to choose the one that really
suits my dream and my current condition. Living my life, I believe what I choose today will affect my
future. This is why I am reasonably careful with my choice of study abroad. To come to this choice I
follow my intuition and my logical way of thinking.

I was raised in Uruguay, and I am currently learning French. I desire to study in different countries, so
there are many choices left: Europe, America and Australia. I choose Canada for I love the country and
the possibility of a scholarship like this make the process to me. This is a good start for my future
career. Besides, I have never been there.

Canada is unique and very diverse. It has all things that nature could offer: glaciers, hills, rainforests,
lakes, reefs and even ice hockey. It has several multicultural cities which are home to culturally diverse
citizens. I am eager to live and study in one of the best places to live.

Furthermore, I want to go to Canada because from an educational perspective this country has a good
international reputation. It is also famous for its high quality of educational system. I specifically select
École des Sciences de la Gestion - Université du Québec à Montréal because it offers extensive and
very interesting courses that will complement the study from my home degree. In addition, I plan to
prepare my thesis on Agri-tech so I find It may be great opportunity improve my project.

I believe this is the most suitable place for me to broaden my knowledge and to gain life experiences.
Universidad ORT Uruguay together with École des Sciences de la Gestion - Université du Québec à
Montréal offer me the best combination of excellent study opportunities and incredible life
experiences. By having these experiences, I hope I can develop my personal and professional skills.
