Subject 5000 Repertory Additions for Synthesis TE edition

Summary This ‘Log-file’ will add to your Synthesis repertory around 5000 additions
from Dr. Alfons Geukens. (To be exact 4.688 new author references,
including 3.117 new remedy additions)

(More photos of the centre and school below at the end).

These 5000 additions are collected from the following sources:

 - Written additions from his repertory which he used and annotated
for many years.
- From his computer repertory Synthesis, in use by his secretary
where she made additions on his instructions, during many years
of lectures and seminars. And more recently from his personal
computer repertory, where he mainly studies the Materia Medica
during consultations and confirms additions from the literature.
- And from his Materia Medica Keynote sheets, handed out to all his
students.

Below you will find a Link and Instructions how to download the ‘Log-file’
and how to insert these 5000 additions in your Synthesis.

Background info Some information about Alfons Geukens and his Homeopathic
Centre in Hechtel
Dr. Alfons Geukens is a medical doctor since 1976 and started practicing
classical homeopathy since 1979. In 1985, he received the diploma for
Classical homeopathy of the “Athenian School of Homeopathic Medicine”. In
1983 he founded the “Clinical Centre for Classical Homeopathy” where
Classical Homeopathy in primary health care is being practiced 24 hours a
day. There are currently eight doctors working in this centre. Since 1987, he
started lecturing homeopathy in many different countries.

George Vithoulkas stimulated Alfons Geukens to start an “International

school for Classical Homeopathy”, which was founded in 1991. Currently
there are several training programs possible:
1. a three year part-time course (with the option to follow only one specific
day on the MM topic of your choice).
2. twice a year there is a Live-cases seminar

The ‘Clinical Centre for Classical Homeopathy’ also offers a full-time three
year training (this is only open for medical doctors).

 Instructions to download and install

Warning:
Before you start, it is best to check if you have made a recent backup of
all your personal information in the program (Repertory additions, Cases,
etc.). If you have not done so yet, then read all about it in the following
Free Note: ‘Otter, R – Radar Automatic Backup’
(see below the Free Notes window in Radar 10)

Follow the Link below, to start downloading the additions file.

Step 1: Select the button ‘Save’

Save the file on your hard disk, in the Radar folder and the subfolder
Update. Most of the time this will be C:\Radar\Update

 Step 2: We advise to save the file in the folder
C:\Radar\Update (C: or D:)

Step 3: When the download is ready, click on the button ‘Open Folder’

Step 4: Then Double click on the file: Geukens_081111.exe to start

installation.

Step 5: Select a language during the installation

Confirm the folder where your Radar program is installed, click on Next.

 Select the Synthesis repertory that you use most often.

In the below screen is circled the:

- The English Synthesis Treasure edition, code: (SE92-308).

But you can select any language of Synthesis TE edition you are using, or
any Veterinary Synthesis Treasure edition, for example the English
Veterinary Synthesis Treasure edition, code: (SE92-312)

Note: If you are using more then one of these repertories, you can install
it a second time in a different repertory also.

If you insert into an Essential Synthesis or other Synthesis edition then

it will not be possible to insert all additions. (For the Essential Synthesis
about 100 additions cannot be inserted)

You might have to wait for a few minutes, while the additions are inserted
into the repertory.

 A message appears when ready.

Click OK, to continue.

You may close the next text file with some information about the insertion
process.

Note: If you insert into an Essential Synthesis or other version.

This update file is created for a full Synthesis Treasure Editions (9.2). If you have
selected an Essential Synthesis some additions cannot be inserted, because the
Essential Synthesis does not contain all rubrics. You will receive an overview window,
which mention the result. For the Essential Synthesis about 100 additions cannot be
inserted.

Note: If you had made already yourself additions during Alfons Geukens his lectures or
by change have made a few similar additions, then you will also received a message that
some additions could not be inserted.

About your Personal Log Files

These additions will also be added to your Personal Log Files. To read
more about Log files and making personal additions, read the manual
‘Repertory Utilities’. This manual can be found via START, All Programs,
Archibel Software group.

 If you make personal additions, be sure you regularly make backups.

Close all windows

You then can start your Radar program.
If you want to check if additions have been inserted, you could look for
example at the following rubric: (use: Full Synthesis view)
Mind – Fear – chickens: Opium has been added

Or the rubric: Mind – Abrupt: should contain Secale, in 1st degree,

author reference gk0

There 5000 addtions contain some clinical confirmations of existing

remedies or new clinical additions (both will receive the author reference
gk0). There are also additions which have other author references. In
the below example you can see e.g.: vml, al1, hr1
