Task 1 Topic 1

The bar graphic indicates the expenditure ratio of the UAE government in education and
healthcare beetwen 1985 and 1993. The administrator of UAE spent more GDP for education
than for healthcare. Year by year passed from 1985, 1990, and 1993, the comparation of
health and education always out of balance.

We can see on the bar graphic, in 1990, expenditure for education was almost more than
expenditure for health. Fortunately, the UAE administrator spent less ratio of their GDP in
public health in 1990 than the did in 1985 but went up to 10.00% in 1993. In 1993, the funds
for education went as high as 15.00%.

As we know, GDP is an acronim of Gross Domestic Product, which is the incame of a


country in one year. Income of the country is from their community tax and export import
income. So the use of GDP must be wise for the common good.

Excessive expenditure on the education means, that United Arab Emirate more concerned
with intelligence than health. Not suprisingly, many building were built not comparated to the
needs of health facilities.

Task 2

4. Health education is an essential aspect of community health.

I am agree with the statement, that health education is an essential aspect of community
health. Because, education is the simple way to educate someone from not knowing to
knowing. This also applies from the aspect of health. We can educated about how to care
health people to still health until later, and healing the unhealthy people so they can doing
activity normally.

Health education is one of activities that can preventive some disease so the disease would be
not got cronic. It will save more our GDP in healing disease. Government always looking for
innovation to healing some disease, even thought they can take advantage of health field
student to educate people from some disease.

In Indonesiea, health education not prioritized. Maybe that situation causes by the number of
health worker is not balanced with the number of people who will be educated. If the
government does care about the importance of health education, they can make laws that will
facilitate student to conduct health education as part of campus assignment.
Student in university can cooperate with public health Office to educate people by home to
home, and from one people to one other people. Student have a well-known approach,
because they can directly accommodate citizens opinions, and have great potential as health
educator.
