1 RESEARCH:

The term research consist of two words “Re” means again and again, and “search”

means to find out something new.

3.2 TYPE OF RESEARCH:

 Basic research

 Applied research

 Action research

 Educational research

 Research and development

3.3 EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH

Educational research is an activity which is directed toward the development of

science of behavior in educational institute. The ultimate aim of such a science is to

provide knowledge that will permit the education to achieve the goal by its most

effective method.

It’s the nature of human being that he is always keen desirous to know everything

whatever he has achieved is the outcome of thirst knowledge. It is obvious that

knowledge has not limits and man is always busy in doing researches in different

fields of knowledge to discover the realities of life.

Dictionaries describe it as carefully search of inquiry endeavor of the realities.

34
3.4 DEFINITIONS OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH:

According to John W.Best

“educational research is concerned with the development and testing

of theories of how students behave in an educational sitting."

According to Donald Ary:

“Educational research is more widely defined as a systematic and

impartial enquiry for solving on educational problem that require

new knowledge for its solution."

According to Van Dalen:

"Research is a systematic search for the problems that plugged and

puzzle mankind."

Summarily research is a search or investigation directed to the discovery of same

facts by careful consideration or study of a subject a source of scientific or critic

inquiry

3.5 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the method and procedure that was applied in this study.

3.6 THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK:

Theoretical framework is the foundation of Hypothetic-Deductive research, as it is

the basis of the hypothesis that we develops. A theoretical framework represents our

idea on how certain phenomena, variables or concepts are related to each other. It

helps us to structure our discussion of the literature and describes how the variables in

our research dissertation are related to each other.

This study examines “ the effect of trained teacher on students learning progress at

primary level”.

Here we are going to investigate either trained teacher effect the learning progress of

student or not. We will find out the impact of trained teacher on the learning outcomes

of student.

36
3.7 SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM OF THEORETICAL

FRAMEWORK:

Following is the schematic diagram of independent and dependent variables:

In the above diagram trained teacher is independent variable and students learning

outcome is dependent variable.

37
3.8 RESEARCH DESIGN

The research conducted was a Descriptive Research as it provides the information

about conditions, situations and events that occur in the present where as, method we

used was Quantitative by nature.

3.9 DATA COLLECTION

To achieve the objective of this research, Survey Questionnaire was used so that we

can measures the impact of trained teacher on the learning outcome of student at

primary level.

3.9.1 POPULATION

“population is the total group of potential participants from which sample is drawn”

The target population the researcher has selected is of -------- primary teachers of

private schools at North Karachi.

3.9.2 SAMPLING

Sample is the method of selecting a sample from the population in order to find

something about the population from which it was selected.

By nature, we divide sampling in two methods.

1. probability sampling

2. Non-probability sampling

38
3.9.3 SAMPLING TECHNIQUE

The samples were chosen by using Simple Random technique in which each sample

has an equal probability of being chosen.

3.9.4 DATA COLLECTION TOOL

We have used Questionaire for collecting data from our samples. The questionnaire

was well structured and the responses were sought from the respondents.

3.10 DATA ANALYZING TECHNIQUE

The objective of this research was to study the impact of trined teacher on the

learning outcomes of student. Our assumptions were that the trained teacher has an

impact on learning of student which directly indicate the existence of relationship

between the two variables.

3.11 DATA ANALYSIS PROCEDURE

Obtained data was checked for error and then data entry was completed and final data

was analyzed by using SPSS software. Simple tables, Mean, frequency percentages,

& figures, was used in the presentation and analysis of the data generated for the

study. Reliability will conform the reliability of variables. where as Regression was

to find out the impact of Independent variable on the Dependent variable.

We will apply the following to analyse the collected data

 Descriptive Analyses

39
 Frequency Distribution

 Reliability

 Inferential Statistics

 Regression
