‘This letter isin regard to Fans coming on the court during the Girls’ Basketball contest between Sheffiela
High School and Overton High School for unsportsmanlike conduct on January 25, 2019.
Based on the Offcial’s report, Fans came onto the court during an altercation. TSSAA is requesting a written
report to be submitted by 12:00 (noon) Wednesday, January 30, 2019 as to what disciplinary action the
‘Aaministration plans to initiate for this unsportsmanike incident,
Pursuant to TSSAA Board of Control policy, a $250 fine wil be levied against the schoo! for the conduct of
this fan.
The TSSAA and its member schools believe strongly thatthe purpose of athletics at the secondary level isto
be a part ofthe total education program. Is vital that administrators stress to coaches, players, officials and
fans the necessity of good sportsmanship. People in each of these groups must understand the role they
play and how important itis to be a positive role model for others.

We know that you will take the necessary precautionary measures to make certain that an incident ofthis

‘must sit the next wo scheduled games. Forfeited games do not apply. The player(s) must sifbe suspended
from an actual game(s). Therefore, please submit your sportsmanship meeting forms for the next two
scheduled games your players will be suspended from play.
