CHAPTER I

PROFILE AND HISTORY

Titik Nol Yogyakarta is located on Malioboro Street. Titik Nol

Yogyakarta location is strategic because it is located in the center of Yogyakarta

tourism. On the north side there are fortress Vredeburg and Beringharjo market,

on the south side there is the northern square and the palace, the western side is

bank BNI, the southeast side there is a large POS office and BI and on the east

side there is a monument SeranganUmum 1 Maret and the northwest side there

the grand building.

Titik Nol Yogyakarta a point that becomes the benchmark determination

of the distance between regions in Yogyakarta or other cities outside Yogyakarta

and in line with the Merapi mountain. From 1970 to early 1980 in the middle of

this Malioboro road intersection there is still a city water manvur. from where the

possibility of Nol kilometer is located and become the starting point used to draw

the distance between the city of Yogyakarta with the city or other areas.

Titik Nol Yogyakarta position is a very historic area, both for the

historical development of the city of Yogyakarta and the history of the Indonesian

nation.

During the night, along the sidewalks around the intersection into a

gathering place to spend the night. Titik Nol Kilometer points are often used for

peaceful and carnival action

 The writers went to field trip for 3 days. First days the writers to field

trip in Tamansari place, but in Tamansari place the writers get one tourist and she

doesn’t take a picture with the writers. Then the writers went to Titik Nol

Yogyakarta. In Titik Nol Yogyakarta the writers get 5 tourists and they want to

take a picture. The second days the writers back to do field trip at Titik Nol

Yogyakarta. The writers get 6 tourists. And the third days is the last day of the

writers went to field trip. The third days the writers get 5 tourists. But only 3

tourists to tale the picture and 2 tourists they are only to interviewed. For three

days to field trip the writers get 16 tourists, but only 8 tourists to take a picture or

recorded.

 CHAPTER II

ACTIVITY

A. Activity Day 1

On April 15th 2018 at 1.00 pm the writers went to the Tamansari. After

arriving at the Tamansari the writers bought a ticket and entered to start

the field trip and many other student who already in Tamansari for field

trip. In the Tamansari, the writers get one tourist but she doesn’t take a

picture with the writers. The writers difficult to get tourist again because

there is competition with the other. And finally the tourist guide who was

there suggested the writers to move to the rear place that more tourist

there. And then the writers went to Titik Nol Yogyakarta. In Titik Nol

Yogyakarta the writers get 5 tourists and they want to take a picture. After

that, the writers tried to find a tourists anymore, but the writers did not find

a tourist to be interview. Finally the writers decide to went home because

it was getting dark.

B. Activity Day 2

The next day on April 28th 2018, the writers back to do field trip at Titik

Nol Yogyakarta at 05.00 pm. In there the writers saw a pair of tourists who

were walking, after that the writers interviewed someone from New York.

The writers interviewed male tourist from Australia. Then the writers saw

a pair of tourists on the other side of the road, the writers approached him

and he wanted to be interviewed. But who would be interviewed only with

 her husband, she did not wanted to be interviewed. After that the writers

met with 3 tourists who refused to be interviewed. After that, the writers

tried to find a tourists anymore, but the writers did not find a tourist to be

interview. Finally the writers decide to went home because it was getting

dark.

C. Activity day 3

The next day, the writers went together went to Titik Nol again. The

writerst get 5 tourists, but is only 3 tourists to take the picture and 2

tourists they are only to interview. For three days to field trip the writers

get 16 tourists.

INTERVIEW

1. Dialogue

A. Shintya and Mr. Wrick

Shintya : Excuse me. Sorry for disturbing your time in here. We

are student, we would like to practice our English with

you. Sorry I have imperfect English, I speak little

English.

Mr. Wrick : Ok.

Shintya : I am Shintya. I am from Yogyakarta. And what is your

name?

Mr. Wrick : I am Wrick and Iam from New York.

Shintya : Are you enjoying trip in here?

Mr. Wrick : Very much.

Shintya : How many times have you visited Indonesia?

Mr. Wrick : Four times and first time in here.

Shintya : What is your favourite Indonesian food?

 Mr. Wrick : Rendang.

Shintya : Where do you stay in Yogyakarta?

Mr. Wrick : In Yogyakarta homestay.

Shintya : Ok,thank you for interview and may i take picture with

you?

Mr. Wrick : Yes.

DESCRIPTIVE:

Mr. Wrick from New York. He is tall, his hair is white and he has

bread, he is wearing a glasses. He said that is was four times in

Indonesia, but first times in Yogyakarta. Mr. Wrick likes rendang for

favorite Indonesia food. He is friendly and good. Mr. Wrick can speak

a little Indonesian. In Yogyakarta he stayed in homestay. He visited in

Yogyakarta until two days.

B. Shintya and Miss Lisa

Miss Lisa : I don’t know, because this first time I visited in here.

Shintya : Example Nasi Goreng, sate ayam, rendang?

Miss. Lisa : Yes, but I don’t know.

Shintya : How many times have you visited Indonesia?

Miss Lisa : First times.

Shintya : Where do you stay in here?

Miss Lisa : Straight ahead , hotel.

Shintya : Are you enjoying trip in here?

Miss Lisa : Yes, enjoy.

Shintya : What is your opinion about Yogyakarta?

Miss Lisa : I don’t know, because this is first time I visited But

people friendly.

Shintya : Oke, thank you and may I take picture with you?

Miss Lisa : Oke.

Miss Lisa from France. She is beautiful, her hair is brown, her eyes

are brown. She is friendly and good. She said that it first time visited

in Indonesia and Yogyakarta and she was Indonesia one days. Miss

Lisa stayed in Yogyakarat in hotel. She said doesn’t know Indonesia

food because she stayed here one day. She is enjoying trip in

Yogyakarta.

C. Devi and Miss Laura

Devi : Hello, excuse me. Sorry for disturbing your time in here.

We are students, we would like to our practice English

Devi : My name is Devi. May I know your name?

Miss Laura : My name is Laura.

Devi : Where are you from?

Miss Laura : I’m from England, and you?

Devi : I’m from Bali, but now I am stay in Yogyakarta.

Miss Laura : Oke, nice.

Devi : Btw are you enjoying trip in Yogyakarta?

Miss Laura : Yes, but I arrived in yesterday. So we don’t see so much.

Devi : How many times have you visited Indonesia?

Miss Laura : In Indonesia total 4 weeks, and in Yogyakarta just 4

days.

Devi : Oke. What your opinion about Yogyakarta?

Miss Laura : It’s nice city!!

Devi : Okey.. and what is your favourite food in Indonesia?

Miss Laura : Indonesian?

Devi : Yes, for example sate, nasi goreng?

Miss Laura : Nasi goreng is nice , and it’s delicious. One time

lontong...?

Devi : Lontong sate or lontong opor???

Miss Laura : Lontong I don’t know but it’s so spicy.

Devi : Hahaha.. Oke. Btw what next the place do you want to

visit after here?

Miss Laura : we want to go to bromo, and then rinjani and then go to

bali.

Devi : Oke. Can I take picture with you?

Miss Laura : Sure !!

 DESCRIPTIVE:

Miss Laura from England. She is beautiful. She has white skin, and

curly hair. Her eyes are brown. She is very friendly. She said in

Indonesia total 4 weeks, and in Yogyakarta just four days. Her

favourite Indonesian food are nasi goreng and lontong opor. She said

after in Yogyakarta she want to Bromo, Rinjani and Bali.

D. Devi ,Miss Cristin ad Mr. Dave

Devi : Hello.. excuse me. Sorry for disturbing your time in here.

We are students. We would like to our practice with you.

But sorry I’m impervect English. I speak little English.

Miss Cristin: Oke , no problem.

Devi : My name is Devi. May I know your name?

Miss cristin : My name is Cristin.

Devi : Oke. Where are you from?

Miss Cristin: I’m from Belgian.

Devi : Are you enjoying visit in here?

Miss Cristin: Yes. I’m only three days.

Mr. Dave : Our opinion about it , the nice place, it’s very crowded

Devi : hahahaa okey. And what is your favourite Indonesian

Mr. Dave : Yaahh.. we happen try to much eat. So I don’t know

maybe you can give me choice? What the best?

Devi : Nasi goreng? Rendang?

Mr.Dave : we will try to remember then.

Devi : Bakso, or brongkos?

Mr.Dave : Allright, thanks!.

Devi : where do you stay in Yogyakart? Guest house or?

Miss Cristin: Homestay.

Devi : What the next places do you want to visit after here?

Miss Cristin: We go to malang, to the visit Bromo.

Devi : Btw do you know about nursing program?

Miss Cristin: I don’t know.

Devi : Maybe nursing job in your country?

Mr. Dave : No way. I don’t know it.

Devi : Okey I think inaf, and I’m so sorry because I speak little

DESCRIPTIVE:

Miss Cristin from Belgian. She is very friendly. She visited Indonesia

with her boyfriend, Mr.Dave. she said it was the first times in

Indonesia and she doesn’t know about Indonesian food. In Yogyakarta

she stayed in homestay. The next trip she went to Bromo and Bali.

E. Novia and Miss Triska

 DESCRIPTIVE:

Introduce the first tourist is Miss Triska comes from France. I met her

in the wat of Malioboro precisely zero kilometres. She walked with

her husband and two childrens. She is very friendly. She is the first in

Yogyakarta. Her hair waves, limited shoulder. She wore blouses and

skirts that are similar. She said that they visit Malioboro next they will

go to Bromo and Bali. There was some difficulty when I interview

with Miss Triska are in a hurry and the conditions around which is

very noisy.

I had some impression about Miss Triska. She really enjoyed the

atmosphere in Yogyakarta, for beautiful and many tourist attractions

and take pictures. She like chicken satay, beef rendang, fried rice and

chicken noodle.

F. Novia and Miss Gabriela

DESCRIPTIVE:

Introducing the second tourist is Miss Gabriela originating from

Camili-Turkey. I met her in the way of Malioboro precisely at zero

kilometres, she walked with her husband. She is very friendly. She is

very good. She was the first to Yogyakarta. She used striped knee

limited dress. She looks gorgeous with shoulder length straight hair,

nose high and beautiful eyes. She stays in Hosnial. She said they visit

Malioboro next they will go to Bromo.

There was some difficulty when noisy conditions. Interview and Miss

Gabriela who loves to ask questions about the Departement of as well

reccommendations tourist attractions, because I don’t really get to

speak English, so I answered just pot luck. I have some impression of

Moss Gabriela. She really enjoyed trip in Yogyakarta. She liked

chicken satay, fried rice and gado-gado.

Mr. Michael is a man with a high body posture. He has white hair. He

came in Indonesia with his wife. He said this is the first time came to

in Indonesia and they feel happy to take a holiday in Indonesia.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. CONCLUSION

The conclusion of this report is the writers got 16 tourists in Titik Nol

Yogyakarta to interview with them. They are from many countrys, which one

England, Belgian, France, New York, Camini, Ceko and Holland. The writers got

16 tourists in the period of three days. And the writers used handphone to record

and photos our activities.

The writers very happy to do this field trip because it makes us more

closely togethe, with this field trip the writers can understand about English

languange and dare to try to speak English with the tourists. Thanks to Mrs. Mery

who have given this task because this is very valuable experience.

B. SUGGESTION

The writers hope for the next task, this field trip stay to do. So can

support the students to better understand about English language and dare to speak

with tourists.
