Warranty Conditions

3. Purpose
The purpose of this document is to define the warranty periods and conditions for Brand Products.
The general principles for reporting and handling warranty claims are described in a separate document “Warranty Handling
procedures”

The Warranty periods and conditions for Brand Products portable compressors are excluded from this document.

4. Warranty Periods

4.1. Brand Products

The following table presents the specification of warranty terms for all products manufactured in the brand organisation.

Note 1: reaching one of the conditions as specified in column A, B, and C of Table 2 terminates the warranty coverage
Note 2: For Piston compressors that are not equipped with an hour meter, the limitation specified in column C should be treated as
indication on warranty coverage from the Product Company. Al cases where it is clear by compressor operating regime that the
running hours limit has been exceeded are not covered by the product Company technical warranty. For aluminium and professional
piston range the maximum running condition cannot exceed 50% load in a 30 minutes timeframe

4.2. Compressor elements

General principle
The following table presents the specification of warranty terms for compressor elements:

Note 1: reaching one of the conditions as specified in column A, B, and C of Table 2 terminates the warranty coverage
Note 2: Compressor element failures should be reported within 2 weeks after the date of failure
Note 3: Extra conditions for warranty on elements: SPM trend from commissioning date and oil sample analysis or oil sample
available at time of failure.

4.3. Converters

General principle
The standard warranty terms from the converter supplier applies. It is the Distributor / Representative to take eventual warranty
cases up with the local branch of the supplier, after consultation and advice by the ICD Company.

Warranty Conditions

4.4. Spare Parts

Warranty on brand parts

The warranty period for brand parts is 6 months from the date the part has been mounted on the unit, but no more than 12 months
after the delivery date from the factory, under the condition that the part has been subject to normal use and maintenance.
Warranty is limited to the reimbursement of the part at 100% of the landed cost price.

For compressor spare parts

The warranty conditions applied are the same as described in 4.2 “compressor elements” above.

5. Return of Defective parts for investigation


Please consult the information published in the Warranty Handling procedure.

5.1. Parts involved

The following parts need to be kept in case of failure:

Elements
Piston Pumps
Pressure switch
IVR equipment (convertors and related parts)
Coolers
Controllers
Unloaders and Intake valves
Electronic drain
Refrigerant compressors
Dryer heat exchanger
Dryer condensors
Expansion valves (thermostatic & HGB)
WIS water filter
WIS solenoid valves
Scroll check valve
Desiccant cartridge
Desiccant controller & timercards

5.2. Other Parts

All other parts should be scrapped immediately according to the information published in the Warranty handling procedure.

6. Documents to be used for reporting

Reporting method

The ICD - Warranty Request report must be dully completed in order to facilitate a Warranty claim to the Product Companies by the
ICD Company:
This document is available as an addendum to the document “Warranty Handling Procedure”.
