CAVEAT. Basahin po munang maige yung instructions bago gawin o simulan.

DO NOT INSTALL
THE CTMS in another PC/ unit. Just COPY using a hard drive or usb. You could pm me for
clarifications.
COPYING FROM ONE PC TO ANOTHER.
PC1 – the unit where you originally installed the CTMS and where you have been encoding your cases.

PC2, PC3, PC4 and so on – where you wanted to save and encode the cases simultaneously with PC1 or
PC2 depending how many computers you wanted to use for encoding.

In copying:

Note: PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THE CTMS in PC2. Be sure that there is no CTMS installed in PC2. They
could not co-exist.

1. Go to Drive C of PC1 and COPY the folder CTMS in one USB (pref. yung walang ibang laman na
usb para safe);
2. Plug USB to PC2 or PC3 where you want to copy the CTMS;
3. Copy the folder CTMS from the USB then go to Drive C of PC2 and paste.
4. Open CTMS folder and look for right click and send to desktop to create shortcut. (
in a way you are as if installing the system to PC2 by copying it).
5. Try opening the system using your shortcut in the desktop and search cases by accused name so
you can check if you have succeeded in transferring your data from PC1 to PC2.

IF YOU HAVE ENCODED SIMULTANEOUSLY IN PC1 AND PC2 ALWAYS SAVE YOUR PROGRESS BY
CREATING YOUR BACKUP (I USUALLY DO THIS EVERY FRIDAY, KASI SABI SA MANUAL PERO PWEDE
NAMAN KAHIT ARAW-ARAW). THIS IS ALSO IN THE MANUAL.

MERGING THE DATA FROM PC1 AND PC2

(kunyari PC2 yung pinili nyo na paglagyan ng merged data)

1. Go to DRIVE C of PC1 and be sure you have created your backup by clicking the hi-lighted icon
below :
2. Ganto po yung lalabas jan: (follow nyo lang yung instructions, kaya press any key)

3. Ito na magka-copy na po tayo. At dahil nakapag back up na kayo punta po tayo sa FOLDER NG
BACK UP:

4. Sa folder po ng back-up may nakikita kayong file folder na date nakalagay. Example, nag-backup
kayo ngayong march kaya ang file folder name ay : 2018_03. Open that file folder, minsan po
meron pa yang another file folder jan parang ganto:
Open nyo po yung file folder na yan at ganto po ang lalabas:

Then CTRL + A and CTRL + C ( Copy All) at i-save sa isang folder at i-save sa usb. (ito po yung gagamitin
natin para mailipat sa PC2 yung mga nai-encode na sa PC1. Lahat po yan ika-copy.

5. In PC2 go to Drive C, open CTMS file. So ganto po ulit yan (sa PC2 na po ito ah). I-click nyo po
yung folder na dbf. Ito po yun:
 6. Pag-open ng folder na dbf, i-copy nyo po doon yung nasa usb na kinuha nyo sa back-up folder ng
PC1 at ganto po usually ang magiging command ng pc kapag na-paste nyo na dun yung files from
usb:

Check nyo lang po yung check box sa bandang ibaba then click COPY AND REPLACE.

7. SUBUKAN NYO NA PO If successful. Tandaan nyo yung case na na-encode from PC1 na wala
naman sa PC2. Mas madali ang pagsearch if you search by accused name kasi ganoon pong
ginagawa ko. Repeat nyo lang yung steps if multiple PC ang gamit nyo.

P.S. Please before deciding to merge your data. Be sure that you already made
your back-up. You have to click "backup" for both PCs otherwise ma-o-
override ng data na na-back-up yung walang back-up. The data from PC
which was not backed-up will be lost.
