Applications are invited for the following Teaching Posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment and by Deputation
including Short Term Contract, as the case may be. Candidates applying may read the Details of the Posts and the

Essential Qualifications, Experience, etc. Required for the Post of Professor for Direct Recruitment
1. Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
2. 5 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience as Reader/Associate Professor in the concerned Subject or
5 Years Research Experience in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay Rs. 7,600 with NPA.
OR
15 Years Combined Experience in Teaching as Reader/Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor/Lecturer in
the concerned Subject or 15 Years Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with
Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600, Rs. 6,600 and Rs. 5,400 with NPA, respectively, out of which minimum 3 Years
Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with
Grade Pay Rs. 7,600 with NPA.
3. Minimum 5 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-13, Pay Matrix Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900 + NPA admissible as per Central Government Rules.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 55 Years as on the Closing Date for receipt of Applications (Relaxable upto 5 years for
candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Community and Government/Autonomous Body Employees in accordance with
order issued by the Central Government from time to time) (Relaxable up to 2 years in case of internal candidates).

Essential Qualifications, Experience, etc. Required for the Post of Associate Professor for Direct Recruitment

1. Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
2. 5 Years Teaching Experience out of which 3 Years in Post-Graduate Teaching in the concerned Subject or
5 Years Research Experience in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 with NPA.
OR
10 Years of Combined Experience in Teaching as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Subject or
10 Years Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600 and Grade
Pay of Rs. 5,400, respectively, out of which at least 2 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research
Experience in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600.
3. Minimum 3 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-12, Pay Matrix Rs. 78,800-2,09,200 + NPA admissible as per Central Government Rules.

Holding analogus Post on Regular Basis with the following Essential Qualifications:

1. Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
2. 5 Years Teaching Experience out of which 3 Years in Post-Graduate Teaching in the concerned Subject or
5 Years Research Experience in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with GP Rs. 6,600 with NPA.
OR
10 Years of Combined Experience in Teaching as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Subject or 10
Years Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with GP of Rs. 6,600 and GP of Rs. 5,400
respectively out of which at least 2 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research Experience in PB-3
(Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP of Rs. 6,600.
3. Minimum 3 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.
OR
Persons with 5 Years Regular Service out of which 3 Years in Post-Graduate Teaching in the concerned subject or
5 Years Research Experinece in the Pay Scale of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 + NPA.
OR
10 Years Combined Experience of Teaching as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned subject or 10 Years
Research Expereince in the Pay Scale of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 and Grade Pay Rs. 5,400,
respectively with NPA out of which at least 2 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research Expereince in PB-
3 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600.
AND
(i) PG Qualification in Ayruveda in the concerned subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
(ii) Minimum 3 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-12, Pay Matrix Rs. 78,800-2,09,200 + NPA

Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 Years on the Closing Date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Pay Structure like Grade Pay, NPA may be relaxed subject to the discretion of Competent Authroity, if requried.
3. The period of Deputation including Short-Term Contract will be initially for 2 years which may be extendable.
4. The Details of PG Teaching Experience should be indicated separately in Col. No.9. A Certificate from the Head
of the College/Institute concerned certifying that the said College/Institute has the Regular PG Course in the
Subject concerned during the period for which the Candidate claims PG Teaching Experience. In the absence of
such a Certificate, the PG Experience claimed will not be treated as PG Experience.
5. Any experience gained on part-time basis, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty will not be considered as a valid
experience.
6. The Experience Certificate should clearly mention the Pay Scale etc. otherwise the Experience claimed will not
be considered for that Pay Scale.
7. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications for those in
Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K
State, Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
8. The Pay Scales shown are as per the 7th Central Pay Commission and the candidates may refer the
corresponding Pay Scales as per 6th CPC for their reference wherever required. The Pay Scales carry usual
Allowances admissible as per Central Government Rules and applicable to the Institute.
9. New Pension Scheme of the Government of India is applicable in the Institute.
10. The Cast Certificate should be in the manner and the Format prescribed by Government of India.
11. Candidates already in Government service must send their Application Through Proper Channel and such
Applications should also reach by the Last Date. However an Advance Copy may be sent.
12. The details of Research Publications (indexed in index medicus, international/national journals, peer-reviewed
etc.) should be clearly mentioned in a separate sheet of paper. Copies of the Abstracts should be attached.

13. An Application Fee of Rs. 5000 (Rupees Five Thousand) (Rs. 4000 (Rupees Four Thousand for SC and ST
Candidates) by DD only in favour of “Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur“ should be enclosed with
the Application for each Post.
14. Candidates applying for more than one Post should send separate Application for each such Post along with the
prescribed Application Fee.
15. Director reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies, to withdraw the vacancy of any or
all the Posts and to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof, whatsoever.
16. Director reserves the right to make any amendment, cancellation or changes regarding this Vacancy Notification
in whole or part thereof without assigning any reason thereof, whatsoever. Any corrigendum, amendment,
order etc. regarding this Vacancy Notification will be displayed only in the Website of the Institute and will not
be published in newspapers.
17. The Closing Date for Receipt of Applications is 21-2-2019 (Thursday). However, the Closing Date for Receipt of
Applications for Candidates belonging to Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland,
Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Himachal Pradesh,
Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep is 28-2-2019 (Thursady).

The Application filled in all respects, affixed with a recent Passport Size Photograph pasted on the Upper Right Corner
and duly self-attested, along with the Application Fees and self-attested copies of all the relevant Certificates including
Experience Certificate and detail, Job Assignment Certificate, Character Certificate, Vigilance Clearance Certificate etc.
should reach the Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jorawar Singh Gate, Amer Road, Jaipur 302002 by the
closing date. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay in the receipt of any Application. Applications received
after the Last Date or Applications incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected without any intimation.
Applications will not be accepted by E-Mail or Fax. No enquiry will be entertained over Phone, E-Mail or Fax.
Canvassing in any manner will disqualify the candidate.
