I possess a unique combination of skills and experiences that allow me to effectively advocate
for clean energy companies, national non-profits, and local governments grappling with complex issues
of environmental, energy, tax, and administrative law. My science background ensures that I am able to
quickly grasp technical aspects of my client’s position. My world-class legal education, including a
Juris Doctor from Harvard and two federal clerkships, guides me in crafting compelling legal arguments.
And my experience as a congressional candidate provides me with key insights in developing public
relations and political outreach strategies for my clients.
In recent months, I have co-authored a U.S. Supreme Court brief, represented a trade association
of sugarcane ethanol producers in a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rulemaking, and helped pass
one of the first Property Assessed Clean Energy ordinances in the state of New Mexico. I have also
filed lawsuits on behalf of community groups fighting to prevent the construction of new migrant
detention facilities, and a local government seeking to protect its residents from ozone pollution.
