A. Dependent clause “Declarative”


1. Finite clause
 Adjective : I find the area which makes me happy
 Noun : We know what we must do
 Adverb : They live where they were born
2. Non-finite clause
 Adjective : We see you leaving the room
 Noun : to be a teacher is to have a challenging job.
 Adverb : Whenever needed, I can be called
3. Verb less clause
 Adjective : People in Bandung are friendly
 Noun :
 Adverb : When young, I was an active person

B. Dependent clause “Interrogative”


1. Finite clause
 Noun : Could what he said change everything?
 Adjective : Is that the news which you have been expecting for?
 Adverb : Do you feel happy whenever you meet your friend?
2. Non-finite clause
 Adjective : Why do you refuse to talk to her?
 Noun : Was she the girl coming to your office the day before?
 Adverb : Do you always lock the door when finishing your work?
3. Verb less clause
 Adjective : Did you serve the man in the room?
 Noun :
 Adverb : Will you call him if necessary?

C. Dependent clause “Exclamative”


1. Finite clause
 Adjective : What a fantastic car which you have!
 Noun : What a beautiful painting which was stolen last night!
 Adverb : How happy I was when graduated from my university!
2. Non-finite clause
 Adjective : What a beautiful gown worn by her that night!
 Noun : How happy to be an artist!
 Adverb : How happy I was when meeting her!
3. Verb less clause
 Adjective : What a great book on the table!
 Noun :
 Adverb : What a surprised I was when successful!

D. Dependent clause “Imperative”


1. Finite clause
 Adjective : Notice the man wearing a black jacket
 Noun : Explain what you know about it
 Adverb : Scream when it hurts you
2. Non-finite clause
 Adjective : Nominate the man having a great skill
 Noun : Do not give up, studying grammar
 Adverb : Do not talk being in the mosque
3. Verb less clause
 Adjective : Respect the man helpful
 Noun :
 Adverb : Speak when necessary

E. Complex sentences with noun clauses as:


1. Subject : What the story says is true
2. Object : I believe what you have done
3. Complement : it is what I told you before
4. Object of preposition : I am interested in what the advertisement offers

5. Adjective complement : He made good what he has done
