News from PE
Exciting things are happening in our elementary Physical Education classes! First and foremost, we are so proud of
all of our students here in Hudsonville for how well they did with this year’s PE C.A.R.E.S. non-perishable food drive. Our
elementary students donated 32,643 items to food pantries around our community. The classes in each of the elementary
schools that brought in the highest number of items per student were rewarded with a class trip to Hudsonville Lanes for a
bowling party. Big thanks go out to Mr. Doug and the crew at Hudsonville Lanes for their continued support helping to make
this event a such a success! We’re also excited to announce that we are participating in the new Kid’s Heart Challenge!
This event is replacing the Jump Rope for Heart events that we’ve done in the past. This is a new and improved event that
will allow for more diverse opportunities for us to help raise funds for the American Heart Association and the life-saving
research and support they provide.
Lastly, we’re excited to offer an online option for ordering elementary PE apparel. We will still be sending home our
traditional paper order form for those who wish to pay by cash or check but this provides our parents with a method to pay
using a card. The online order can be accessed at the following web address- : bit.ly/2sr1x6M. Online orders will close on
Feb 1st!
