HASP - Install Drivers

Typically, when using Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8, the HASP drivers will
automatically try to install. If the drivers “installed successfully, you are all set! Just:

1. Accept the default drivers recommended by Windows

2. Install/Start the Footprint Expert

3. Go to "Help" >> "Product Information"

- If you do not have the proper license options enabled, try the Remote Key Update
- If you cannot see the key/features at all, continue to manually install the drivers...

4. Manually install the drivers:

- Download the "HASP Windows GUI Installer", run "HASPUserSetup.exe", using all
default options
- If you get errors with the GUI Installer, try the "HASP Command Line Installer", run
"haspdinst.exe"

HASP - Uninstall Drivers

To uninstall the HASP drivers:

1. Open the Control Panel

2. Programs / Uninstall a Program

3. Right-click "Sentinel Runtime" (by SafeNet), and select "Uninstall"

If you get no errors, you're all set!

Should the drivers not uninstall properly,

- Download the "HASP Command Line Installer"
- Extract the files in a temporary folder/directory
- Select/Run the "UNINSTALL HASP.bat" file

HASP - License Manager

To use a Network License (NET key), you will need the following configuration:

1. Server, or PC with the USB Key:

- HASP Drivers
- License Manager

2. Each client PC, or computer running the PCB Footprint Expert:

- HASP Drivers
- License Manager

If the HASP drivers did not install automatically when you plugged in the USB key, follow
the HASP Driver Installation steps.

To install the HASP License Manager:

- Download the "HASP HL License Manager"
- Run the "lmsetup.exe" file
NOTE: You will need to have the Network USB Key plugged into start the License
Manager

3. Once the License Manager is installed, you should be able to access the Admin Control
Center. To do so, just point a browser to http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html - if you use
multiple SafeNet keys, the PCB Libraries Vendor Code is 98135.

The Admin Control Center can offer you pertinent information, such as:

a. Location of the Key (local or network)

b. Vendor & Key IDs

c. Type of Key

d. Firmware version

e. Action items to give you license-specific details -

- Products: products licensed

- Features: features of products licensed

- Sessions: if a network license this shows who checked out a license

Activate USB Key / Remote Update

NOTE: The USB Key may be activated on any computer, it does not need to be activated on
the comptuer where it will be primarily used.

1. Plug in (locally) USB Key to be updated or verified.

NOTE: If you get "Could not determine the version of the license manager" you are most
likely using obsolete HASP drivers:
- Download the "HASP Windows GUI Installer"
- Unplug any other HASP key you might have
- Run "HASPUserSetup.exe", using all default options

2. Run the "PCBL Remote Key Update.exe" program. This program is typically located in
the HASP folder of the FPE directory. By default, on a Windows 7 machine, it will be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PCB Libraries\FPX 2012\HASP

3. Click the [Collect Information] button. What this does is it compiles the KEY (not system)
information, meaning that (if you so wish) this program/update may be executed on a different
computer/server than where the PCB Footprint Expert will ultimately reside.

4. Save to "[YourCompanyName].c2v" (C2V = Customer to Vendor)

5. Email the c2v file to Sales@PCBLibraries.com. PCBL will send you a V2C (Vendor to
Customer) file.
