Awareness - Allow the students to view a 6 minutes video about the Malnutrition in the
Philippines (Link found on the resources)
Group the students according to the number in the class.
Check for the materials such as markers, cartolina/manila paper and other materials.
General Instruction:
- Using the table below as guide, research on the sources of carbohydrates, protein,
fats, vitamins and minerals, the functions of these nutrients, and the health problems
that result when the requirement for these nutrients are adequately met.

1. What are vitamins and how do we get them?
- These are nutrients our body needs to function and fight of disease. The body
cannot produce vitamins itself, so we must get them through the foods that we eat

2. What happens if you don’t eat enough carbohydrates?
- When you don’t get enough carbohydrates, the level of sugar in your blood may
drop to below the normal range (70-99 mg/dL), causing hypoglycemia. Your body
