Greene (nee Sahs) and Joandra Sahs.

Fred died suddenly in an accident on December 15,
2018. We have lost a truly unique person.
Fred grew up in Ontario, and in his travels as a young
man he found the Kootenays. A floor layer by trade, he
became a “milly,” working for Meadow Creek Cedar
for many years. After the mill closed, he moved back to
Ontario, but before long was back in the Kootenays.
Fred lived enthusiastically and loved to laugh. He
enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, wrenching on his endless
