COFERENCE BACKGROUND
The University of Dayanu Ikhsanuddin (UNIDAYAN) Baubau as one of the largest

Private Universities in Southeast Sulawesi has been active since 1982 with the aim
of helping the government in improving the quality of human resources through
higher education. In connection to the purpose, various attempts have been made
to achieve it. The current rector of UNIDAYAN, Ir. H. La Ode Muhammad Sjamsul
Qamar, MT, constantly encourages the lecturers to actualize the whole Tri Dharma
of College. In addition to implementing the education and teaching, dedication to
the community, the lecturers are also supposed to conduct researches and publish
them in national and international journals or proceedings. To provide access and
services on it, then based on the recommendation of the rector of UNIDAYAN
international seminar based proceedings will be held on UNIDAYAN.
This one day seminar was conducted on Saturday, April, 29, 2017 under the title
of Management, Education, and Entrepreneurship for Global Competitiveness
(ISMEEGC). The seminar included four keynote speeches by leading experts.
We are very pleased to mention that the accepted papers of the international
seminar committee of the UNIDAYAN, Baubau, Indonesia were included in the
scientific proceedings. The conference and publication information are published

Praise be to Allah, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the universe in granting honor
and pleasure to welcome all the delegates, speakers and viewers to this
“International Seminar on Management, Education and Entrepreneurship for
Global Competitiveness” (ISMEEGC), organized by our beloved Institution, Dayanu
Ikhsanuddin University (UNIDAYAN), Baubau, Indonesia.
This is a rare opportunity to share best practices in any field of endeavor in this
significant event. Knowledge and experience in Management, Education and
Entrepreneurship are the exception. Therefore, this year’s topic “International
Seminar on Management, Education and Entrepreneurship for Global
Competitiveness” (ISMEEGC), will surely inspire and motivate all delegates, both
foreign and local, to learn from and sharing of best knowledge and experiences as
imparted to us by our distinguished invited speakers and presenters.
Since knowledge and experiences can be linked to building a magnificent structure

for global competitiveness with our hard work as individual scientists and
researchers, as building blocks, we always built on what others have done before
us, among others through the publication of this International Proceedings
To paraphrase from our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) “Seek ye knowledge

even up to China”. As speakers and presenters, this spirit must be nurtured head-
on, thus this gathering.
