INTRODUCTION:
More.‟ is the brand name of Aditya Birla Retail Limited‟s (ABRL) chain of
retail stores. Aditya Birla Retail Limited is the retail arm of Aditya Birla
Group, a USD 28 billion Corporation. The Group‟s foray in to the retail
sector began in December 2006 when it acquired Trinethra, the chain of
stores based in south India

„More.‟supermarkets cater to the daily, weekly and monthly shopping needs


of consumers. Spread a cross a wide range of products of food and non food
items, ranging from basic necessities such as, fruits and vegetables, staples,
personal care, home care, household care products, general merchandise, and
dairy products.

STARING UP OF STORE IN CHITTOOR:


The store manager was a part of business and development program(BAD)
This program teaches them how a new business can be start,where to start,
what kind of business can be taken up,how to choose a location for starting
up a business etc..
Then the store manager and senior most manager has decided to keep a MORE
SUPERMARKET this is a franchise business and the location was decide on
area bases like for upto 3 to 4 km there was no supermarket nearby and the class
of people living nearby the area was upper middle class and middle class
peoples. And by seeing the competitions,promotions near to the place the
supper market came into action

THE WORKING HOURS FOR STORE:


1St Shift
7.30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
2nd Shift
12:30 p.m.– 9:30 p.m
On Saturdays/Sundays the store opens till 10 in the night. There are no explicit
breaks given for lunch or Dinner but the employees can go any time with the
permission of ASM

THE FOOT FALL AND REPEAT PURCHASE:


The foot fall is about 600 to 650 customers. The repeated customers are around
170. The store size is 2500 sq feet.the number of employee working in the store
are 20 members.

THE BUSINESS :
 The products are imported from bangalore and chennai from warehouse
through distribution channel it reaches the store.The extra stock are kept
in the dry warehouse inside the store.
 The vegetables and fruits are daily imported, ensure that the store
always has stock of the freshest leafy vegetables.
 When fruits and vegetables are spoiled 5% of it when spoiled they
keep it n display when more than 5% spoiled they dump
 When certain vegetables or fruits and not sold they dump it and then
order fresh fruits and vegetables again

magazines. Most of the offers are also displayed on a notice board outside the
retail store.
