case study analysis

case studies are necessary

to provide insight on the
already existing
communities. this will
provide another way of
observing the problem and
how they have attempted to
solve it.

i will primarily be analyzing

the function of community,
the space itself, and the
social interaction within.

The community in which people belong

plays an important role in the wellbeing
of the members. the relationships among
the members become the foundation of the
community. millennials are experiencing
high levels of loneliness, an intentional
community will bring people together who
otherwise may have never met. creating
new friendships by using the common bond
of home, millennials will be the first to
experience this new way of living.

statement
I have selected a building that
includes 45 units. based on the project
requirements I have chosen that the
first floor with be dedicated to
community activities and shopping. this
will include a cafe, market, and
restaurant. By having all of these
located on the first floor this will
give community members convenience and
a way of having a common bond.

community: Community is based on groups of people who

share common values, goals and interests. It’s a place that
provides support in times of celebration and in crisis.
Community is a complex web of social unity. My model represents
this complex web. If you remove one, the model will no longer
be supported. My model needs all pieces to function, just like
a community.

bridge: A bridge is a structure that is built over a

divide so that people or vehicles can cross from one side to
the other. people can also be used as this structure that span
across intellectual, emotional, religious and cultural divides,
such as self interest, fear and intolerance, with a bridge of
understanding.

flourish: To flourish is to be healthy and represents

growth. The concept of flourish can be related to both nature
and people. My concept model represents the idea of flourish
through multi-dimensional construction. It is made up of several
important parts. My designs are devoted to spreading positive
transformation and enhancing human flourishing around the
world.
