• Ferruginous bodies – other

inorganic particulates coated with
similar iron-protein complexes

• Pleural plaques – most

common manifestation; well-

Bronchioalveolar Carcinoma
[BRONCHIOLOALVEOLAR CARCINOMA, MUCINOUS]. Bronchioloalveolar
carcinoma (BAC) is a type of adenocarcinoma that grows along alveolar septae. Two
main subtypes are recognized: mucinous and non-mucinous. This mucinous type
BAC shows normal alveoli on the upper left corner and BAC on the right lower
corner. Radiographically BAC may present as consolidation mimicking pneumonia
and thus may evade correct identification.
