FUNCTIONALITY
STRATEGY CONFIGURATION
SET can generate strategy for use with all IQ controllers. If required, it can communicate with devices accessed via the local network,
or internetwork to download the strategy.

It allows the engineer to build up a map of the network for the system that is being engineered by adding Lans, and IQ controllers
to the navigator. Once a device has been added to the navigator, its strategy is defined by adding modules to strategy pages, and
linking them together. When the strategy is complete, it can be downloaded to the correct device. SET can produce high quality project
documentation quickly, and maintain it at the latest version.

Graphical representation of strategy: The graphical

representation of the strategy displays the strategy on strategy
pages, using standard symbols. The strategy can be linked across
these pages using connectives enabling complex strategies to
be created. The graphical strategy representation is used when
creating or editing strategy. SET enables you to choose exactly
which of the module parameters are displayed on the screen.
These individual pages can be printed out to provide part of the
project documentation.

Automatic module numbering and sequencing: SET uses

pointers to keep track of module numbers and sequence table
steps used within the strategy. These pointers are automatically
incremented when a module is added to the strategy. This allows
SET to automatically assign the next module, and sequence step
as required.

LIVE VALUE COMMISSIONING
SET enables you to connect to a controller and display the live output values on top of a the strategy on a strategy page as shown.

In this mode the values of knobs and switches can be adjusted

by editing the modules on the strategy page to change the output
values. The new values are then sent to the controller and the
results can be seen on the strategy making it possible to check
that the strategy is working correctly.

Live value commissioning can be used in conjunction with live

editing so that the results of changes to the strategy can be seen.

The SET strategy and the controller strategy must be identical or

some of the values may not make sense.

LIVE EDITING
SET enables a strategy to be modified in the controller at the same time as the drawing on the a strategy page is modified. As modules
are placed onto strategy pages, or their configuration parameters adjusted these changes will automatically be sent to the controller.
This can be used in conjunction with Live Value Commissioning as a powerful engineering tool.

SYSTEM BROWSING
SET's System View enables the IQ System to which SET is connected to be browsed via a tree structure. Tasks such us entering
configuration mode, or mapping the Lan, can then be carried out on the items in the tree. The table below lists these tasks.

Enter Configuration Mode. Map the network.

COMPATIBILITY
IQ Configuration
SET can create configuration files for all IQ controllers, however it does not configure time, and calendar modules, it also only allows
the standard week times to be set up.

Network Access
SET uses the Communications Component (TCC) to provide communications with the IQ network. This means that if TCC is able
to connect to the Lan containing the controller, SET will be able to communicate with any IQ System device on that Lan. The table
below illustrates the different sites that can be accessed with the different connections to the IQ network.

INSTALLATION
The installation of the software is performed by a step by step installation program. The first time the software is run it will prompt
for an unlock code. If SET is to download the strategy to controllers, the PC running SET must be connected to the IQ network. SET
installation is described in the SET Installation Instructions (TG200155). SET installation also requires installation of a Communications
Node Controller (CNC), or connection via an appropriate IQ controller. Installation of the CNC is described in the supplied installation
instructions.

ORDER CODES
SET is only available to authorised installers. Contact your sales representative to order a copy.

To utilise all of SET's features a connection to the IQ network will also be required; this can be achieved using standard network cabling
with a Communications Node Controller (NBOX/CNC2/230). Connection can be made to the IQ network via TCP/IP using an Ethernet
Internetwork Node Controller (NBOX/EINC/230). Alternatively connection can be made to the IQ network via a SANC, this will require
the PC running SET to be connected to a V90 (56K) modem, and the IQ network to have an autodial device to which the PC can dial
in. These items must be purchased separately if required.

SPECIFICATIONS
The specifications below are those recommended to run SET. They refer to a standard PC with mouse, keyboard, hard drive, CDROM
drive, monitor, and sound capabilities (optional).

Hardware
Processor Intel P4 or equivalent.
RAM 256 Mbytes RAM.
Free disk space 350 Mbytes for installation.
Graphics card 16 Mbyte video card capable of 1280x1024 resolution.

COM ports, PCI slots, Parallel ports, and USB ports are required to allow connection of LNC2/CNC2, Ethernet network card, printer,
and modem if they are to be used. A single COM port and standard size PCI slot are required for use of an LNC2. Connection to a
CNC2 requires a single COM port. A standard size PCI slot will be required if an Ethernet network card is to be used. Additional COM
ports, PCI slots, Parallel ports, and USB ports should be specified as required for connection of modems, and printers.

The use of a good printer is recommended, which can be connected to either a parallel, or USB port. If required the printer may also
be accessed over the office IT network (providing a network card is fitted). This should be taken into account when specifying the
required ports for the PC.

If SET is to communicate with the IQ network via an SANC it is necessary for a V90 (56K) modem to be installed, and access to a
PSTN line is required.

If SET is to communicate with the IQ network over Ethernet a 100Mb/s Ethernet Network Card is an access to an Ethernet network
is required.

Software
Operating system Windows XP with Service Pack 1, with Internet Explorer version 6 or greater.

It is recommended that SET be run on a PC with Windows XP with Service Pack 1. However, SET will also operate on NT4© with Service
Pack 5, and Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2. SET will not run on Windows 9x platforms.

Minimum specification: Standard Intel P3 300 Mhz or equivalent PC with 128 Mbytes RAM, 350 Mbytes free disk space for
installation, 8 Mbyte graphics card capable of 1024x768 resolution, COM port, Parallel or USB port, mouse, keyboard, hard drive,
CDROM drive, and monitor. Running Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2.
