Appliance(s) implicated:
The voltage reading between the terminals PB4 and PA12 of the component(s) G001 is abnormally high.
Short-circuit between the battery voltage and the signal conductor(s) 1018.
The S104 equipment is defective.
The component(s) S104 is(are) assembled incorrectly.
There is too high a contact resistance between the connector pins and/or oxidation.
The warning light D049 comes on (D048: "STOP" warning light ; D049: "SERVICE" warning light).
The warning light D049 comes on (D048: "STOP" warning light ; D049: "SERVICE" warning light).
In order not to replace any equipment unnecessarily, it is essential to follow the steps below before carrying out fault finding:
If there is an active or inactive fault code, disconnect the connector or sensor. Check that the connectors are not oxidised and that the pins are not damaged.
Note: Certain fault codes become inactive when the engine is stopped. Start the engine to check whether the fault code is still inactive when the engine is running.
After carrying out any work on the connector, refit the connector. Check whether the fault code becomes inactive. If the fault is still present, then carry out a check of the wires and sensors in
accordance with the troubleshooting instructions.
The values given in the readings tables are correct operation values.
In order not to damage the equipment, the repair steps should be carried out in the correct order.
General checks:
● The wiring harnesses and the fluids routing pipes are sound.
● The connectors are neither oxidized nor physically damaged.
● The connecting arrangement is not damaged.
● The connectors are properly plugged into their equipment.
Check that the relay(s)S104 are properly connected and correctly supplied with current.
Using the RENAULT TRUCKS test tool, perform the operation 3649-08-03-11.
Key: in the illustration above, the appliance S104 (A001) is identified by the mark "B".
The location (see illustration above) is given as an indication only, for more precision, refer to the appropriate vehicle repair manual.
After switching of the ignition, wait for 10 seconds before plugging in or unplugging the connectors.
Key: in the illustration above, the unit G001 is identified by item "A" and the unit S104 (A001) by item "B".
The location (see illustration above) is given as an indication only, for more precision, refer to the appropriate vehicle repair manual.
After switching of the ignition, wait for 10 seconds before plugging in or unplugging the connectors.

To facilitate making readings during the diagnostic check described below, RENAULT TRUCKS recommends:
The numbers in parentheses, shown in the values to be measured table, are those of the terminals or the tools mentioned above.

If the value measured on the wire(s) 1018 does not match the value contained in the table, the wiring harness and/or the module(s) G001 - S104 are faulty.
If the readings taken match the values in the readings table, go on to the next measurement.
Point N° 1 Point N° 2
If the value measured on the wire(s) 1018 does not match the value contained in the table, the wiring harness and/or the module(s) G001 - S104 are faulty.
If the value measured on the conductor(s) 1018 matches the value in the table, the work for this fault code is now finished.
