The prod shikshan samiti established on 1965 and it works in


Bikaner district.

Mission:-
• To work for the upliftment of the people who are
educationally

Socially and economically backward.

• Implementation of educational development through


literacy

And continuing education.


• To work for the women and children empowerment
in terms of the Health and work skill.

Establishment of institution:-

The institution came in to existence in 1965-66 to


help deprived people of society.

Objectives:-
• To create awareness about health and apprise them the
methods of

• keeping good health.

• To impart vocational education/professional training to


youth and make them self reliant.

• To develop reading habits through libraries and reading


rooms and to run study circles.

Achievements:-
• Former chairman of this institution MR. S.N. PAREEK
was awarded Nehru sakhsarta award.

• Loonkaransar tehsil of this district was made fully


literate.

• Govt of Rajasthan sanctioned rs. 5 lakh prize for making


loonkaransar fully literate.

There are two on going programmes being run by the


institution

2 . KISHORE SHIKSHA PARIYOJNA


Out of these two projects i opted JAN SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN for
work

INTRODUCTION
The Jan Shikshan Sansthan was formerly known as Shramik Vidyapeeth. It is
an innovative educational Scheme in the field on non-formal and continuing
education and training for adults started by the Goverment of India in the year
1967. At present 90 Jan Shikshan Sansthans are functioning throughout the
country in different states.

The distinct features of the Sanshtan are:

• The flexibility characteristics of non-formal education,


• The special target group of the socially, economically and educationally
deprived sections of the society and
• The objectives of offering polyvalent education that is meant to provide
the individual not only the skills to enhance his /her productive
potentiality but also the knowledge necessary for him/her to improve the
quality of life.

These features distinguish the Jan Shikshan Sanssthan from other educational
programmes and institutions for adults.

The programmes and activity conducted by the Sansthan include the


following:

• Training programmes in skill formation and skill up gradation for


potential youths, dependents of workers, migrants , men and women
belonging to unorganised & informal sector, slum workers etc in both
industrial /urban/rural areas.
• Training programmes for key resource person, master trainers and
trainees in vocational course and also for neo-literates.
• Nodal continuing education centre and coordinate, supervise and monitor
10-15 continuing education centres/nodal centres;
• To organise equivalency programmes through Open Learning Systems;
• To promote National goals such as Secularism, National integration,
population and development education, women's equality, protection and
conservation of environment etc.

To widen the range of knowledge and understanding of the social, economic


and political system in order to create a critical awareness about the
environment among the potential youths.

Jan shikshan sansthan


Objectives:-
• To enhance vocational efficiency and technical knowledge.

• To impart training to illiterate, neo literate.

• To develop social,economical and political awareness.

• To train people between 15-35 age group specially who r


socially and economically backward.

ACTIVITIES:-
• To identify target group and prepare survey.

• Activities relating to national obligations

• To give technical support to district literacy committee.

• To run follow up programme.


• To develop reading habits.

• To issue certificates to trained people.

In this institution 32 traits are taught. Trainees come from


urban as well as rural areas.A trainee is supposed to deposit
nominal fee for studies fee varies from trait to trait.Duration of
training varies from 1 month to 5 months.

METHODOLOGY:-
At JAN SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN i have learnt how to maintain
trainees file

It includes

1.Admission sheet as per survey


criteria of selection is based on following conditions

1 cast of the trainee 2 educational qualification of trainee 3


income of the incumbent

While selection preference is given to deprived people.

2.Attendance sheet
It is maintained by instructor and frequently checked by
invigilator who`s job is supervision.This sheet is further
checked by programme officer.

3.Monthly progress report performa


This form records further the instructor is paid regular
honorarium or not.

Shelf help group is formed out of trainees. This Performa


checks whether its meeting are held regularly or not

4. evaluation sheet
each training centre keeps an evaluation sheet. After
completion of the training the trainees are examined both
practically and theoretically.

CONCLUSION :- The basic thought behind working with such

organisation for my was to view and work for India at the grass root level, their

problems, solutions, achievements, and way of living.
