The learner will be able to understand and appreciate the elements and contexts of 21st century Philippine literature from the regions
The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding and appreciation of 21st Century Philippine literature from the regions through:
1. a written close analysis and critical interpretation of a literary text in terms of form and theme, with a description of its context derived from research;
and
2. an adaptation of a text into other creative forms using multimedia.
Writing a close analysis and critical interpretation of literary texts and doing an adaptation of these require from the learner the ability to:
1. Identify the geographic, linguistic, and ethnic dimensions of Philippine literary history from precolonial to the contemporary. EN12Lit-Ia-21
Specific Objectives:
1. The learner should be able to identify Philippine literary texts from precolonial to the contemporary by enumerating at least ten (10);
2. The learner should be able to classify the enumerated Philippine texts by its geographic, linguistic and ethnic dimensions through a semantic web;
3. The learner should be able to a write an essay or a script which will demonstrate the different dimensions of Philippine literary.

a. What do you know about the publication of Noli Me Tangere and
How it affected the Philippines?
b. Do you think that the novels in the Philippines are as important as they used to be when the Noli was published
in 1887? Are people still inspired by the novels?
c. What is it about reading tweets and Facebook status?
What is the importance of Literature for the Facebook generation?
1. Present the development of Philippine Literature from the Past up
to the contemporary.
2. Define reading.
3. Identify the importance of reading.
4. Demonstrate various ways which can be used in learning
Historical events through reading.
The teacher will present the current regional division of the Philippines
associated with each region.
The teacher will ask the students to produce a text, whereas they will write a
100-word feature article on a Filipino contemporary author from outside their
region.
