NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Dear candidate
At the outset we would like to send our best wishes for your January 2019 examinations.
If there is any disruption like ‘Hartal’ we will assess the situation with Pearson Edexcel on
case to case basis and may deliver or postpone the examinations. We will communicate this
to candidates. Candidate must evaluate the situation while traveling to an exam venue
during a ‘Hartal’ session if we deliver exams.
Safety of our candidates, staff and security of exams materials is paramount and influences
our decision making. Therefore Pearson Edexcel and British Council will keep the situation
under constant review. We are also working on extra measures to put in place to ensure the
safety and integrity of the exams. Where the situation is very much disruptive and our risk
assessment does not permit us to deliver then in consultation with Pearson Edexcel we may
cancel examinations considering the safety & security of our staff candidates and
examinations.
Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with Examination
Services at bd.enquiries@britshcouncil.org or visit us at the British Council offices in Dhaka,
Chattogram and Sylhet.
