The Sign of the Cross is a sign Catholics make before and after they say prayers.

The Sign of the Cross represents God.

There is one God in three Divine Persons.

Those persons are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

When we make the sign of the cross, we do it like this:

We touch our forehead with our fingers and say “In the name of the Father…”

Next we touch out chest and say, “Of the Son…”

And then we touch our left shoulder in front, “And of the Holy”

Then the front of the right shoulder, “Spirit.”

Let’s practice it together!

In the name of the Father,

The Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
