APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The registration process are as follows:

1. Properly filled up registration form.


2. IDs must be presented during the submission of the registration forms.
3. First ten (ten) groups of applicants will only be allowed to join the competition.
a. Ten groups from senior citizens and;
b. Ten groups from students/out of school youth
4. The members of the choir group must be 16 years old and above for the
student/out of school youth category while the senior citizen 60 years old and
above.
5. The winners will be grouped into two:
(1) Senior Citizens [1st Prize-3rd Prize]
(2) Student/ Out of School Youth [1st Prize-3rd Prize]
6. All choir groups must be amateur singers. Professional choir groups are not
allowed to enter the contest.
7. Closing date of completed applications is on 10 May 2016.

GUIDELINES

 A minimum of 8 singers, and a maximum of twelve (12) per group can


participate.
 Guitar shall be used as an instrumental accompaniment.
 A Capella group of singers are accepted.
 The group must perform with a maximum time limit of (10) minutes. Beyond this
limit, a total of two (2) points will be deducted from the total score.
 The songs to be performed must be an Original Pilipino Music (OPM). A medley
arrangement of songs is allowed.
 If a member of a choir is already a part of a competing group, he or she is not
allowed to join another competing group.
 Competing choir groups must wear costumes during the performance. Costumes
are part of the criteria for judging.
 To determine the chronological order of the performances, fishbowl method will
be used.
 The Grand Prize Winner shall be proclaimed by the Jury and shall be awarded a
cash prize of Php 9,000.00, a trophy and a Certificate of Recognition.
 Second Prize Winner will receive Php 5,000.00 a trophy and a Certificate of
Recognition.
 Third Prize Winner will receive Php 3,000.00 00 a trophy and a Certificate of
Recognition.
 The decisions of the jury are final and irrevocable.
 Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all rules and regulations.
 Performances throughout the competition may be photographed, recorded for
subsequent reproduction and/or broadcast on radio, television and the internet.
