There may be a necessity to purge the ash out of MDC hopper during sudden load reduction. This may cause an instantaneous loading on the AHS. Hence the design capacity of the
vessel is selected so as to handle such surge.
* Thermax manufactured air cooled bed ash cooler capacity is 1500 kg/hr. Hence downstream equipments to be designed accordingly. For further details refer to AHS input / boiler DBR.

Considering the variations in limestone purity, as a worst case
scenario we consider the total limestone quantity for AHS
system design as against spent sorbent. However as requested
by you, we have indicated spent sorbent quantity in the revised
document.
