All the candidates having allotted seat at NIT Mizoram shall report to Admission in-charge as per the
allotment schedule of JoSAA/CSAB.

Documents required at the time of Admission (these documents have to be arranged in the same
order as mentioned)
Candidates shall carry the following documents at the time of reporting to the Admission Centre:
1. Provisional Seat Allotment letter.
2. Registration cum Locked Choice prints out.
3. Document Verification cum Seat Acceptance/Provisional Admission letter issued from RC.
4. Originals for verification
(i) Admit Card of JEE (Main)-2017.
(ii) Score Card of JEE (Main)-2017 issued by CBSE (downloaded score card is acceptable).
(iii) Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
(iv) Pass Certificate and Marks sheet of qualifying examination.
(v) Certificate of category (SC / ST/ OBC-NCL) issued by the competent authority in the
prescribed format (If you belong to reserved category).
(vi) Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, in the prescribed format.
(vii) Passport, if the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside India; this is
required for determining the 'State from which eligible'.
(viii) Proof of place of examination Center of the final examination from the National Open School
for candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate; this is required for determining the 'State
from which eligible’.
5. Two sets of self-attested copies of all the documents listed above. The originals will be returned after
verification and self-attested copies will be retained by the Reporting Center.
6. Two passport size photographs identical to the one pasted on the JEE (Main) 2017 application form.
Note: If the original certificates are not in Hindi/English, duly certified Hindi/English version
translation of such certificates will be required.

Academic Fees: Following fees indicated is including the initial fees paid to JoSAA at reporting centre.
General/OBC: Rs. 69,350/- (The amount already paid to JoSAA/CSAB must be deducted from the above
amount).
(SC/ST/PwD students shall get complete waiver of Tuition Fee only): For claiming waiver of Tuition Fee,
Gen/OBC candidate has to produce Income Certificate and an Affidavit on Non-Judiciary Stamp paper of Rs.
100/-in Prescribed format (format to be downloaded from the Institute website).
Mode of Payment
Payment of academic fees to be made in the form of Demand Draft (in favour of “Director NIT Mizoram”
payable at Aizawl) only. Cash / Cheque will not be accepted.

Hostel Accommodation
Charges to be paid:
Boys/Girls: Rs. 26,400/-
(i) Above fees include annual hostel rent, one time security/ maintenance charges and mess advance
of Rs. 13,000/- for the 1st semester
(ii) Mess advance of Rs. 13,000/- will be required to be paid before the registration of 2nd semester
(i.e., February, 2018)
Mode of Payment:
Payment of hostel fees to be made in the form of Demand Draft (in favour of “Director NIT Mizoram” payable
at Aizawl) only. Cash / Cheque will not be accepted.
NOTE:
1. Report to counselling/reporting centre does not mean institute reporting. Candidates who have
confirmed their seat in NIT Mizoram by reporting at Reporting Centre (anywhere in India) will be
required to report for admission to the admission in-charge as per the Reporting Schedule.
Inner Line Pass (ILP) is required for entry into Mizoram and can be obtained from Liaison Officer,
Government of Mizoram from the following cities- Kolkata, Silchar, Shillong, Guwahati and New Delhi.
Government employees travelling for official purposes are exempted from obtaining ILP but are
required to carry a photo identification card with them at all times.
Persons arriving by air can obtain passes from the Security Officer on arrival at Lengpui airport, Aizawl.
Fees to be paid : Rs.20 for application form and Rs.100 for processing fee.
Requirements : 2 passport size photo and a photo ID (Driving License/Voter ID/Department ID)

By Air:
Aizawl can be reached by Air through Kolkata/Delhi/Guwahati. NIT Mizoram is approximately 35 Km far from
Lengpui (Aizawl) Airport. Pre-paid Taxis are easily available from the Airport to reach the Institute.
By Train:
Silchar is the nearest railway station to Aizawl. The journey (by road) from Silchar to Aizawl may take apprx. 6
hrs. Sumos (share basis) are available from Mizoram House, Sonai Road, Silchar.
By Bus / Sumo:
Guwahati to Aizawl: Private Buses are available from Guwahati. Booking Counters for these buses are located at
Paltan Bazar. The journey to Aizawl by Bus is approx. 22hrs.
Alternatively, students can come by Bus till Silchar and from there to Aizawl by Sumos (Sumos are available
from Mizoram House, Sonai Road, Silchar).
Direct Sumo Service from Guwahati to Aizawl: Sumos are available from Mizoram House, Christian Basti G S
Road, Guwahati (Evening). The journey to Aizawl by sumo is approx. 20 hrs.
