I. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Description
In planning the vessel, regardless of the tidal course of lighting design.
This is because the lighting is one very important factor to support the
performance of the crew. Therefore, lighting should be designed as well
as possible.

1.2 Purpose
The purpose of calculation in this document is to determine the total
amount of power needed for lighting on a ship.

II. REFERENCES

III. ABBREVIATIONS
p = The length of room
l = The breadth of room
t = The height of room
H = The Hight of the working media like table
h = The height of working desk or another
k = Room Index
η = Lighting Efficiency
E = Intencity of light
N = The number of armature

IV. DESIGN PARAMETER

The calculation of lighting and electric terminal is based on plan of room at the
genneral arangenment .

V. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
5.1 Dimension of Room
All of the room have a difrerent dimension, and all this rooms needed the
lighting which based on self dimension.
p = The length of room t = The height of room
l = The breadth of room H = The height of working
desk or another

5.2 Index of Room
The following formula :
k = (pxl)/(h(p+l)
where :
p = The length of room
l = The breadth of room
h = Distance from the top of room until working media, with
formula :
h = t-H

5.3 Reflection Factor

The reflection is from the wall, ceiling, and floor of the room. In this design
the following reflection factor take :
ceiling = 0.5
wall = 0.5
floor = 0.1

5.4 Armature
Armature is the box of lamp, where the armatur have the different type. The
type of lamp is refer to attachment 2.

5.5 Lighting Efficiency

η = k+((k2- η)/(η2-η1))*(k2-k1)
this is interpolation for mula used to find vaue of lighting efficiency
