tablish e ngineer ing industry stan da rds
known as lhe Sta ndardizalion Unified
Joint Industry Project (JJP).
The one·year agreeme nt sets out the
terms a nd conditions upon which lhe
signing panies shall establish industry
sta nda rds for offshore e ngineering. 11le
objective is to reduce cost an d increase
predictability without compromis-
ingsafety in inte rnational offsho re oil
a nd gas e ngineer ing. procurement a nd
construction (SPC) topside projects by
using standardized bulk materia ls a nd
equ ipment. construction a nd qualifica·
tion procedures. a nd documentation
requirements.
