Where and why are These techniques are usually used within
movies or tv shows, but they could also be

progresses whereas Jump Cuts are
straightforward. Parallel editing is used to
show two events that happen at the same
time and cuts repeatedly to show both
scenarios. The smash cut is used to
change the mood rapidly, it usually will go
between two opposites e.g. happy to sad.
