Thank you for purchasing my “Cure for Overdone Songs.” I hope you will find it useful and that you
will be inspired to look into some new and exciting repertoire that will suit you well. On the following
pages, you will find a spreadsheet that will guide you to ten new choices to replace any of the
following songs in your audition book:

Adelaide’s Lament
Anthem
Astonishing
Climb Ev’ry Mountain
Defying Gravity
Don’t Rain on My Parade
Gimme, Gimme
Glitter and Be Gay
I Cain’t Say No
I Could’ve Danced All Night
I Dreamed a Dream
If I Loved You
Let it Go
My White Knight
On My Own
On the Street Where You Live
Part of Your World
Show Me
The Beauty is
The Light in the Piazza
There’s a Fine, Fine Line
Till There Was You
Vanilla Ice Cream
You’ll Never Walk Alone

Some of the songs are grouped together due to similarity (i.e. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Climb
Ev’ry Mountain”), so keep an eye out for that. I encourage you to look up these songs on Youtube,
Spotify, etc. and see which ones interest you. You will also notice that occasionally I’ve done some
gender bending and put a male song as an option to replace a female title, or vice versa; I think it
can be a fresh way to hear a song when the opposite gender sings it (in a different key, obviously.)

Once you find the tunes you like, you can purchase the sheet music at the composer’s website, or a
site like musicnotes.com. If you’re stuck and you can’t acquire the sheet music through one of those
options, try the folks at Digital Rep Coach (digitalrepcoach@gmail.com). They have access to
audition-friendly arrangements of many of the songs listed here, and they may be able to help you
out.

Enjoy your new repertoire!
