PART –A:
3. Time response of first order RC/RL network for periodic non-sinusoidal inputs – time
constant and steady state error determination.
4. Two port network parameters – Z-Y Parameters, chain matrix and analytical verification.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOS):
A graduate of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Program will be able to
1. Professional Skills Ability:
Analyze and solve electrical circuits using network laws and theorems and conduct
experiments on electrical circuits, analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve
electrical circuit problems.
2. Industrial Skills Ability:
Analyze basic Electric and Magnetic circuits conduct experiments on Electrical
Machines and Transformers as per needs and specifications.
3. Ethical and Social Responsibility:
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form, will have knowledge of
professional and ethical responsibilities and will show the understanding of impact of
engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of contemporary issues.

1. To analyze a given network by applying various electrical laws and network theorems

1 Obtain the iron losses, copper losses, efficiency and regulation for a 3
given single phase transformer at any load.
2 Perform Swinburne’s test on the given d.c. machine and desired load 3
both as motor and as generator.
3 Perform the magnetization characteristics or open circuit 2
characteristics of a given d.c. shunt generator and thereafter determine
the critical resistance and critical speed.
4 Perform brake test on the given d.c. shunt motor and obtain the 3
performance characteristics of the motor
