1.0. Introduction

Management plays a very important role in the business because it helps the staff to know
their tasks and activities in the firm. There are many situations in which company seeks the
helps of the management because it helps to coordinate the activities together. Management
system has direct relation with the activities of organization because the tasks and goals of
the organization are achieved strategically by using management system. There are situations
in which management needs to fit in well with resources of organization. The company needs
management to get the activities done in line with the objectives of organization. The system
should make use of every possible aspect in which management can have benefit in the
activities of the firm and proper management is always benefit for company because they
work better than other companies which do not have management.

The system in modern business environment has focus more on the management system
because it has helped to create a system that is effective and also benefits the staff in terms of
providing services to the people. Management is concerned and related with achieving the
goals and objectives in the organization that will be effective for the company.

This essay will discuss the importance of management in today world and the successful
organizations by using interview with the manager of Oman Gas Company SAOG as the
interview shall help to know the approach of how management has evolved over time and
what changes are needed to make the system of management better.

2.0. Literature Review

There has been lot of changes in the system of management and most of time there needs to
be careful strategic planning in order to transform and develop the corporations which will
help to improve the system of work. Management has focus on the organization as it is
concerned with developing the workplace in such a way that it can have well execution of
tasks and plans in order to develop the organization and help it to achieve success. The major
focus of management is to make sure that tasks are being executed carefully at work and also
to keep in account that the goals of organization can be achieved by making sure that
everything is done according to the organization needs. (Kipling, 2008)

Management has the advantage that it helps to keep the goals of organization to be in line and
also the process of management has advantage that it will help to keep people informed with

the latest changes in technology and also make the system firm enough which will help to
accept the abilities and changes as far as the management aspect is concerned. (Minkes, 2003)

The year 1980 and 1990 lacked management skills and most of the time the aspect which
dominated the style of management was the dominant thinking capabilities of people which
had disadvantage in the aspect that the managerial mission cannot be accomplished and also
the contribution level of management changes as there needs to be evolution in the style of
thinking but modern system of management is very much focused towards the goals and the
approach used by modern management is concerned with planning, controlling and decision
making:

a) Planning

The aspect of planning is related with the manager to decide about the strategic goals of
organization and decide suitable ways which should be applied that will help to achieve the
goals of organization as the system needs to modify them and plan strategies which will
develop the system of proper management in firms. (Minkes, 2003)

b) Controlling

Controlling is related with implementing the plan and monitoring the managerial activity
which will be effective when the workers and managers need to monitor the practices which
are set up. The controlling aspect is directly related with management system and workers
need to use the aspect of controlling which will help to put the corrective action to plan.
(Minkes, 2003)

c) Decision Making

Decision making aspect is the process that offers the positive solution and most of the time
there are alternatives used in most of the time the managerial functions need to be used
collaboration. This is related with planning and controlling to improve the quality of
performance and accounting roles. (Usatenko, 2015)

Management process is used to keep the employees focused and productive and most of the
time there is need of productive measures and authority which will cause change in the
project execution. The most important responsibility is related with the clients to have
working strategy that will not be related with delay in the new timeline and also to have
miscalculation in the product delay aspects. (Blog.mpmm.com, 2016)

3.0. Analysis

The interview analysis has been carried with the manager of Oman Gas Company SAOG and
the following details were obtained:

Oman Gas Company SAOG

The company has been established in 2000 and is related with gas transportation in Oman and
there are 80% shares of the company with Ministry of Oil and Gas and 20% shares are with
Oman Oil Company. The company has been provided with Royal Decree 78/2000 which has
provided regarding the settling down of process in 27 years in order to construct and maintain
the gas facilities in Sultanate. The company has been one of the most remarkable successful
ventures with over 100% leadership teams with commitments in Oman and also to review the
OGC and to navigate the websites. (Oman-gas.com.om, 2016)

Interview

The interview responses provided the following details of the performance of employees and
also to know the management plan and system used in Oman Gas Company.

a) The management system in Oman Gas Company is very much monitored by the higher
officials and most of the tasks are executed by the managers in the company. The important
aspect which needs to be kept in mind is that the tasks needs to be coordinated well and also
the people should keep in mind that everything is according to expectations.

b) There should be employee involvement in every task in Oman Gas Company and most of
the staff needs to have certain management to be with operational level in order to sustain the
decisions and also the job should be created in such a manner that input is relatively active in
problem solving and also use input suggestions to obtain ideas related with the permission to
provide suggestions over the employee efforts on input.

c) Management needs to develop system that company should work well and make use of
improvement aspects that will have high involvement of organization that is characterized by
the organization structure and there is lot of high involvement which is characterised by the
system and needs research and development department to carry the functions in business.

d) Management system needs to make sure that there are effective inputs being used and
planning should be according to the systematic approach that will make sure that processes

are well executed and also there should be ease in carrying the operations. Most of the time
Oman Gas Company recruits professionals from abroad if the management feels that there
are areas that need potential development. This system ensures that everything should be in
order and according to expectations of work.

e) The system of modern professional management system is effective as there had been
many changes that helped work professionals to work well and according to the needs of
people. The modern management system is based directly on decision making aspect which is
related with communicating the goals and also Oman Gas Company has introduced strategic
management system that is effective for the development in the firm and also opens room for
further development.

4.0. Conclusion

This essay studied the management concepts and also showed as the time has passed there
has been evolvement of the practice of management. The system of management directly
depends on the head because of careful execution plans the system of management gets
better. The lack of systematic approach in management has negative effect that it will not
help to develop the employees and most of all there will be lack of engagement of employees
in the tasks of organization.

Management is very important as it helps to keep the employees engaged and also they will
have vision and direction. The companies that lack proper set up of managerial skills are
usually under crises and there is lack of expertise by these services which make it difficult for
the setup of management to evolve in future and most of all there are no positive
developments in business aspect that have problems in future developments.
